mist hashira is literally a blood descendant of yoruichi and kokushibo , it's in the manga stop making assumptions that he got called descendant as it's because all forms are from sun breathing. [/Spoiler] |

They are not common items, not in that context. Sure, you can imagine a bazar with a trader selling earrings with fancy designs, based on traditional hanafuda ("flower cards"), but it gets more complicated if you put such earrings in certain context. In Kimetsu no Yaiba lore, the earrings worn by Tanjiro are the very emblems of the Sun Breathing users. They are symbols, dedicated for those who use, or cultivate, or greatly honor the Sun Breathing. That's why seeing a demon slayer wearing such earrings is a rare sight, due to how the Sun Breathing is basically extinct, and how it's rare to see people cultivating it in any form. Tanjiro is the last male knowing how to perform Hinokami Kagura, so you can say he is both the cultivator of the Sun Breathing's legacy, and a demon slayer trying to use that knowledge on the battlefield. Tanjiro not noticing the earrings is one of many issues in Swordsmith Village arc's writing. It's a shame that it wasn't fixed in the anime, but oh well. Somebody with such watchful eyes should've noticed literally the same earrings worn by a mechanical doll resembling almost exact copy of a guy he saw during his fever dream. I guess we need to assume he just didn't notice it because he didn't, huh. |

Enjoy the animation carried show like we all do 🫡 You are making wrong assumption, that he would make connection with a technique no one used in 300 years and barely anyone even heard, let alone knows anything about. He had an idea how ask a FLAME Hashira, because that's what Hinokami Kagura resembled and it was a logical decision. |

| Look, Tanjiro may be a great demon slayer, but he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. I mean, how did he not notice those big red earrings on the training doll? Maybe he needs to get his eyes checked or something. Or maybe he's just not as skilled as everyone makes him out to be. Either way, it's pretty embarrassing that he missed something so obvious. |

Pretty stupid considering he randomly tried his dad’s funny dance mid-fight as a last resort and ending up perfectly wielding the most powerful breathing technique but somehow he’s either forgetting something his dad told him about what they mean that he’ll remember at a crucial moment in 5 episodes or he’s just ignorant to them |

| Why didn't he notice? Well just like with many things in demon slayer you should be looking at the gorgeous ufotable animation and not the abysmal writing. It's a pity shows like this are regarded so highly because of the great work done by the studio rather both the writer and the studio. |
