I thought I don't like 95 % of ecchis, which is also mostly true for reasons, but that one above is ... watch that thing. It easily became one of my favorites and surely my favorite ecchi, although I personally wouldn't tag it like that.
You see some nudity and implied sex. In comparison to lot of other women in ecchi, Fujiko is actually good-looking and has some sort of sex appeal lot of others miss.

OP, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. I mean look, I just publically recommended freakin Monster Masume. Actually, come to think of it, your no weird stuff rule was probably broken by that one BIG time so it likely wasn't the best suggestion.

Catalano does make a good point though, it's hard to give recommendations if we don't know what genre and other criteria you have in mind. Ecchi isn't so much a genre as it is a content tag. There are ecchi versions of pretty much every genre under the sun.

Since I see that you liked Call of the Night, check out the Monogatari series. It was worked on by many of the same people and has a similarly cinematic surreal vibe to it.

Honestly I'm having a hard time recommending a 'good' ecchi, because I mostly watch trashy ecchi.

You're thinking of Squid Girl which was one of those rare anime comedies that was actually funny. I was referring to Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou which was the craziest and trashiest ecchi title I could come up with off the top of my head.

Some of my examples of different genres from my earlier post weren't really intended as proper recommendations, but I'll stand behind Monogatari. That series really is good. I guess Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata would be an ecchi rom-com recommendation I could stand behind where the women have normal-sized chests and the story is pretty solid.

Edit: Had to remove that last recommendation. I forgot just how crazy the chest on that chick from Desert Punk was.

I see mention of Call of the Night which was a great anime, but most would not consider it ecchi. If you are interested in less ecchi titles like this one then you might want to check out shows like My Dress Up Darling.

Most ecchi is really just eeh... it often fails for me on the basic level of what a level should be like, because lot of the female characters in there don't really have much appeal to me.

if I recall correctly, doesn't monogatari translate to "tale" or "story" , since it's such a straightforward name and widely used in different senses, I think that's why I confused it with something else, hehe
