As first Episodes go that was one of the best i've seen  in a real long time. Glad they they released it like how it was presented in theaters, and not try to cut it up into small pieces.  or just cutting a lot out. having that first episode be able to take its time is and not be rushed is what's got me now so invested  on what comes next in these coming weeks!!

my favorite scene would have to be the first time ai is performing on tv after giving birth. It was such a visual treat  to watch, would definitely want a full MV in that style for music produced for the show.

At first I was turned off by the movie length run time, but by the end I ended up wishing it was longer! It's amazingly written, and animated to make you get a clear understanding of all the characters immediately. Also Ai is amazing. My favourite moment(s) of the episode would probably be the scenes when we see the pre-death twins or post-death twins in awe of Ai in concert, because of how amazingly they capture the wonder of being an idol fan. The fact we know that it's all built up on lies doesn't stop us from having a great time and attaching our dreams onto them to help us get through the day. Ruby's experience was particularly heart wrenching seeing how Ai was all she had, and she had no other choice but to dream. Also that baby penlight dancing was pretty sick.

I would not say it was my favorite, but Ai's death scene is probably gonna stick with me for a while. I'm an anime-only and all I knew from the story was from MAL's synopsis. I was absolutely shocked when I realised she was about to die. Until the last moment I was thinking "she's gonna make it, she can't die here, rigth now", cause her face is all over the promotional content. Moreover, the visuals were... gorgeous ? I don't even know how to describe them, but for me they were better than some over-the-top action-packed shonen. I was not expecting either to be this invested in a character I just met. This scene... it hit me like truck-kun hits an isekai protagonist, turning this show into something completely different for me.
I was expecting a slice of life drama with a fair share of funny anime moments, which there were, but this scene... it changed the nature of the show for me.
There was so much blood, but the visuals were so incredibly bright... amost blinding but I could'nt help but continue watching in horror.
This scene... it will become iconic in my memories.

May be a popular answer, but Ai’s death for sure. I read the manga before watching the anime so I knew it was coming and I knew it was gonna be animated beautifully but damn I wasn’t prepared for how good it was gonna be. Other than that, probably any part where they put the tiny details in Ai’s eyes ✨

I'll share my point of view on "the protagonist Ai" in Oshi no Ko. At first, Ai may seem like a "trash character" and highly unrealistic, as she appears to be happy about being pregnant at 16. However, as the plot progresses, we discover that her personality and facade were fake. As an idol, Ai had the habit of constantly lying to her audience, telling them that she loved them all, which led her to question whether she was truly capable of love.

This duality in Ai's character and her internal struggle with truth and lies can be seen as an example of a round character, who evolves and changes throughout the story. The emotional complexity that emerges as Ai can no longer distinguish lies from reality and wonders if she loves her children, shows growth in her character.

Ai's tragic ending, in which she dies telling her two children (the real protagonists) that she loves them, marks a turning point in her life by ceasing to act and tell lies. This outcome highlights the complexity of her character and how the circumstances and pressures of her life as an idol led her to question her ability to genuinely love.

I knew this anime was going to present a critique of the idol world, but not in this way, instead, in a more cliché and conventional manner. However, I was surprised by how the impact of being an idol affected Ai.

We can infer that instead of following the stereotypes and cliché situations commonly associated with stories about idols, Oshi no Ko addresses the subject in a more unique and original way. Rather than focusing on the usual difficulties idols face, such as burnout, lack of privacy, and pressure to maintain a perfect image, the plot centers on how Ai struggles with truth and lies in her personal and professional life.

This less conventional perspective of an idol's life and how it affects Ai, questioning her ability to genuinely love due to the lies she constantly tells her audience, offers a deeper and emotionally richer insight into the story. This sets Oshi no Ko apart from other narratives about idols, which might have followed a more cliché and predictable approach.

I realized that Ai lied so much that even her character was a lie, and I had swallowed it completely, overlooked it until I understood it, but I only grasped it when Ai delivered her monologue and explained her story. I felt like a child who needs a joke explained to understand it.

Seriously, just one episode was enough to make me question whether I've watched enough series, enough anime, enough movies, or read enough books, light novels, and manga...

Now I feel awful.

Damn, from introduction to the show to to the twist at the end.
Everything, in every step of production, from beginning at first news of anime has been executed flawlessly.
It's not like I'm not responding because I'm shy or somethingbB-baka.

There were a lot of amazing moments in the episode, given how long it was. I know a lot of people cried during the scene that leads to Ai's death (the anime really elevated the scene from the manga), however, for me, I cried at this moment:

The aftermath of the death hit hard, and the moment when Miyako asked the twins if they would like become her children for real, it was incredibly touching to me, seeing how far she came from not wanting to take care of them, to eventually loving them and experiencing the painful event with them. I'm a sucker for found family, or family that isn't blood-related. The way Ruby walks towards Miyako for a hug was heart wrenching. Of course Miyako can't replace Ai, but they can still continue to live on from this moment.

The vital moment where she's finally able to say the words for herself, rather than for others. And then right after that, the brutal scene where life slips away and her eyes turn dark, followed by the still shot of her body in a style unused in the rest of the show.

Well, I absolutely loved it. The anime (so far) managed to make me fall and root for their family just like the manga did. The scenes were beautiful and the characters captivating. And even though I knew what would happen to Ai, I still cried my eyes out watching the scene.
There were many moments I loved (one of them being the scene where Ruby is too scared of falling to be able to dance and "Mama" is the one to help her), but when she finally tells the twins she loves them and realises it's the truth and she was able to love someone after all... It broke me. I believe they've done a wonderful job of adapting the manga so far and I'll be looking forward to how the anime progresses. Hopefully they keep the quality up.

There were SO many amazing moments in the first episode! It genuinely blew me away! I haven't seen such a good start to an anime in so long!
My favoritre moment from the episode is 100% Aqua's moment of realizing his motive. It was amazing in the manga, but just SOOOOO well done in the anime. The way the art completely changes to show his distorted and messed up emotions and how ANGERY and DETERMINED he is?? is just?? wow. I was speechless when I saw that scene and haven't stopped thinking about it since!

This is the best 1st episode in anime I have ever scene! Thus alot of good points to talk about

The first of many of my favourite scene's is definitely Gorou [aka Dr. Aqua] talking about Sarina [aka Ruby]. I think their relationship was very wholesome and it made me feel sad for ruby dying so early on.

There is also the scene of Ai geniunely smiling, knowing that that smile was indeed real and from the heart was very sweet.

The scene of President's wife wanting them to become her children, went from hating baby sitting to loving them geniunely.

And lastly ofc, the heart wrenching scene of Ai's death and that "I love you". Made me cry man.

That was the best[s] of EP1 for me personally, I am confident the anime will become one of my all time favourites so can't wait for EP2!

My favorite scene was the hoshino's death scene! I already read the manga, and it's good too, I recommend, but animated, with all that impact was so cool" I love Hoshino Ai, she is my favorite character, and that's why I love this scene, it hits so hard! It makes you really cry. The rest os the episode was good too, and there's other scened I also loved, but I have, I HAVE to say that this scene was veeeery well maded.

I like the part where Ai kept the Sand she got from a random fan remembered his name while she is bad at remembering faces and names and decorated her livingroom with it. It makes me wonder what else she kept and that she despite making lying her whole thing that she actually felt something for her Fans.
It really i guess sets apart her entire approach to the Job for me at least.
The Sad part is that he turned out as her Murderer.

I like the irony in the OSTs. Even on her deathbed, she was extremely kind and caring of her fans and her,... twin children. That "I love you" quote makes me remember Hikigaya Hachiman's "Nice Girls" Quote.

My favorite part was Ruby/Sarina learning how to overcome her obstacles, especially since it was so difficult for her just to even walk in her previous life. It was nice to see that at least this new life can give her new possibilities.

Episode 1 was long, lasting 1 hour and 20 minutes - wow! But despite its length, my favorite moment was when Ai smiled upon seeing her kids at the concert. This was a different from her usual constant smiling, her constant lie. For the first time, her smile was genuine. My second favorite moment was when she told her kids that she loved them. This was something she was afraid to do, as she believed that if she said those words, she might discover that she didn't genuinely mean them.

I rank the smile higher because from the start, she told that her idol life was a constant lie, and people even though Ai's smile as a little off. But after all the lying, Ai was finally able to smile genuinely for her fans, her children. The "I love you" scene was more personal for Ai, as she was afraid that she would not be able to love anyone, including her own children. If she said those words and still felt nothing, she wouldn't be able to face that reality.

I was really sad watching Ai die. I watched it 3 times and made me feel really emotional but what made me really love this series is the way it gave me the chills when Aqua wants to exact revenge. That scene was just too amazing. I really love Ai Hoshino and how episode one was mainly about Ai and her life story. I can't wait for the next episode :D

the part when ai death is hit me so hard though i know its coming because i also read the manga before but the animation and how the studio can maintain and improve the animation looks all the same like the manga is diff. the scene wrap with pretty well ngl. i enjoyed how the story and animation hit my hard and make me feel im inside the film the feels that i guess only a few anime can do that to the audience. beside the ai's death i can say this adaptation is more and even better than i imagine. when i know the manga will get adaptation i feel happy and  hope for all thing will same as the manga and the studio can make a high animation show who will satistfy the audience. and now i see how good this adaptation. cant wait for next episodee

++ i really like how rie takanashi as the voice actor she really bring ai character to next level with her skill. no doubtt

When I saw the poster for this Anime I thought it wasn't for me, but through a Youtube video it picked my interest. It was a major spoiler, it was the death scene and the I Love You. I knew it would be a depressing story and I would regret my decision to watch it, because it's so sad, but the story is really good and I'm going to continue with it. I will read the Manga and hope that he will kill his dad for this.

I expected a way quicker pace that would destroy the feeling of the original material, yet the studio did it justice in a way I never expected. Yeah, it's just never going to get any better than this. Like in the story Ai was the driving force of this episode, so no matter how the story unfolds without her there will no longer be the same glimmer and intensity. Nevertheless, it's a 10 out of 10, I hope it stays in it's deserved first position on MAL.

Well, this was definitely the best first episode I've ever watched and also one of my fave anime episodes of all time. It's funny cuz' Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc epside 1 was my favourite until 4 days ago, and Oshi No Ko almost IMMEDIATELY stole the show. As an anime, it's an extraordinary adaptation for sure. You can't deny that. The animation is crazy, the music slays the choreography is almost flawless. Oshi No Ko just came out and it's already at the pinaccle of modern animes greatness. Tbh, I didn't expect it to be worth a lot of attention even though it's an Akasaka Aka work. That's cuz' not a lot of people were talking about the manga and I personally didn't pay much attention to it either. But the first episode is doing great things. The outward wholesomeness of the anime and the characters and the subtle but efficacious darkness that appears from time to time is extraordinary. Hoshino Ai's personality is not the only thing that represents that but the way they have highlighted the concept of falsehood and lies in the world of idols and showbiz is out of this world. "Lies are a form of love", that hits so hard. And you won't believe how many people out there relate to that. In fact, a lot of people's lives circulate around that fact. The concept of re-incarnation is quite dark in it's own way. And Hoshino Ai's death was one of the darkest, most heart-wrenching and impactful scenes in the history of anime. And it was animated beautifully. Oshi No Ko is one of the deepest and most hard-hitting anime's of our generation. If you haven't watched it yet and are thinking that after being spoiled so bad you won't enjoy it then you're wrong. It's an extraordinary anime to watch and it highlights multiple genres of anime. It represents the hierarchies of the real world very effectively too. And if there really are people out there who believe idols shouldn't get married or have children, and if you're reading this, you should kno just how blasphemous that is. That will be all the rambling from me.

Lukewarm regards,
Keep Slaying.
Mox.

This was definitely my favorite scene, seeing both Aqua and Ruby grown up!
The one thing I really loved about the anime is that not only does it adapt the manga so well, it added additional scenes, and coupled with the excellent animation voice work and music, made it an even better experience than just reading the manga. This is one of the few shows where I'd say don't just read the manga, watch the anime too!

My favorite scene was probably Ai’s death. The scene was foreshadowed but still felt like it came out of nowhere. Her being able to finally tell her children that she loves them was incredibly done. The art all throughout was just fantastic. Can’t wait to see if as much love and care go into the rest of the season as was clearly put into this first episode.
