What kind of random ass shit developement is this story?

Was this written by a small child? The story jumps are super jarring, its like "and they lived happily ever after" from a fairy tale but it doesnt end and just continues...

I originally wanted to read the manga, but now this even gets a season 3 after this kind of ending? Weird

I really liked this episode as an ending for this series. Poor Marche, she must have died early, but I might have missed the explanation. Sounds like the anti-Fushi groups are becoming more detrimental to Fushi's supporters, and I'm curious to see how that turns out in the modern era.

I also liked the final scene where Fushi gave back the life to the nameless boy, I'd like to find out his name.. poor dude wakes up in this insanely advanced society, hopefully Fushi can explain anything to him

Dint Bon confirmed it last 1-2 episodes, the spirits available are the ones who chose to remain in mortal world with Fushi

Fushi can only revive spirits that choose to remain in reality and are following him.
Rean vowed to stay by the flower bed and wait for Gugu (since Gugu promised her he'll come back). She never followed Fushi therfore her spirit is bound to that place.

So, Rean's spirit still possibly exist in mortal world but at flower bed waiting for Gugu?

They dont have to follow him though, they just have to not go to "heaven", Fushi was able to revive people at basicallly any spawn point he wanted so they needing to be in his vicinity doesn't makes sense to be a requeiment

Season 1 a 9/10...
Season 2 a 8/10...

Honorable Mention: The ED song "Roots" was the Top #1 for me this Season... no need for lyrics, when the sound itself touch your Heart & Soul; Precious.

Best ending as always!!! this anime always makes me cry, best episode 1 (season 1) and best ending every season! I'm glad that people reincarnated by Fushi is not immortal, they still live their life normally. March kinda annoying >,< but I understand her though.

KAHAKU MAKES ME CRY!! Hayase and her descendant is one of the antagonist (sort of) but their dedication to Fushi is on another level, I pity them :( I hope they will have a normal and happy life and forget the obsession :(

Really good way to end it. I always appreciate a solid epilogue tying all loose ends. But there is more?! I really have no idea what to expect from S3.

One thing that kept me wondering: what's up with this rope? If he threw it away did he cut himself from those roots?

That wasn’t Fushi. That was the guy from the first episode. Fushi returned his vessel to him. That’s why his eyes changed to purple. That’s the color the guy’s eyes were originally.

He says “We made it” because he finally reached the paradise he set out to find in the first episode. That rope was Joann’s (the wolf’s) tether. He doesn’t need it anymore.

Pretty good final and interesting way to finish things with the death of everyone soon or not after living their lives in their own way I wish we saw more of that to be honest but now it's time for the modern era which can be very interesting, I hope it will improve in S3 because this season was really disappointing overall sadly, for the plot itself but also the characters

9/10 for this season. Season 1 is better for me but it's been a ride and it's still good.
So they all died in the end, but I hope they will get resurrected or reincarnate in the future. Fushi will be at modern era now. I see there are still roots connected to him but he suddenly remove the rope from his hand? I wonder what it means? I'm looking forward to the 3rd season!

I considered that option, but it doesn't make sense: it was explained that he can give bodies only to those who refused to go to "paradise" and stayed behind as ghosts. The nameless boy was never shown or implied to be among those.

Fushi's eyes have turned pink a few times while in the nameless boy's form. The nameless boy wanted to travel and meet new people. It seems like whenever Fushi does something that fulfills the nameless boy's wish, his eyes turn pink for a moment.

What it means? I'm not really sure, but maybe it's like he carries a piece of the boy with him even if his soul did move on. The bodies are shown to have a will of their own even if their original owner has moved on - like how Parona's body reacted to Kahaku even though her soul isn't with Fushi anymore.

Wow what a crazy rollercoaster this Season was. Going in to Season 2 i thought it will be repeating the same formula as Season 1 but i was wrong.

At least everyone have spend their life and die properly???
i thought i have enough tears for last episode, and here i am crying again for the finale.

but hey, at least Kahaku did one thing right...
Respect to some degree!!

That ending... he made it into Modern Era???
for me this could be the end of the series and i will be happy about it.

Overall a Very Good Season 2, definitely imo not as good as Season 1 was.
but i still appreciate what the author want to do with this season and the world building.
Really can't wait to see what the Season 3 is about.

Fushi Drinking Boba in the poster? lol

Eko randomly dying just to fill the death quota. Okay.
Also March practically dying out of sadness was bullshit. Like, why? What has this pure soul done to you, author?

Overall, slightly better than S1. First few episodes with Hayase's female descendants were a pain to get through but the following arcs ended up being surprisingly solid for the most part. Really liked Bon's character development and though it had its ups and downs, Renril Arc was probably the arc I "enjoyed" the most in the show. Not that it says much but still.
And of course, let's not forget about Kahaku finally doing something worth remembering. That's right: wiping out a whole ass religion. Bravo.

4,5/10 -> 5/10 - Absolutely no idea of what to expect from Fushi in the modern era tho.

Feels bad for the old cast that being revive only for such a short amount of time, because the need to died again even if its with the different fate from before not just following Fushi around this time. Especially to March end, hiks, died in young age again. Then Gugu still be the best bro as ever. Tonari still writing the legendary book till her end, and then don't forget Bon VA is doing great job with that old-man cracking voice acting. Dang xd. Now when i see it again, the ed makes a more perfect sense!

By the way, talk a little about Kahaku finally atone to his life, cursed Hayase bloodlines, and the left hand sins too? Even if its not good enough, i honestly appreciate his love and loyalty to put an end to those succumb church people. But still the anti-Fushi faction surely worrying....

All in all, this is a perfect end. Visual isnt fantastic, but at least decent enough to binge every week.

Dunno what shall i say about the next season. Not feeling good, and i may consider it as a side story for Fushi, cause it don't matter much and might be to answer just a little more about Kansatsusha history, or how he world end, dunno...

At the end, i put this as same as first season.

Best example would be Bon's 2 spirit friends that Fushi revived after he was made aware that they were there. Same applies for Rean; Fushi knows who she is but isn't aware she didn't cross over.

Aww, Bon married Iris.
By the end of this, Fushi has a whole bible written about him by Tonari and the other disciples.
tmw Kahaku just committed a suicide-mass-murder of the Bennet Church so that Fushi could have more vessels. An entire bloodline of religious zealots.

So, I’ll write a full-fledged review a little later, while based on the impressions of other commentators.
For me, in the manga, Renrill's arc was the best arc in the story so far, and the arcs that went into season 1 were basically backstory on the way to the climax. AND? The direction of the second season did not pull out: what was supposed to be a chocolate cake became just a candy. sadness? The second season could have been much better with the same material. They made a strange pace and a strange atmosphere: things that should be disturbing, made everyday and mundane.
About Kahaku:
I'm a little shocked at how people watch the work. I understand that Kahaku has a lot of flaws, but it seems that people do not like him specifically, but their personal fantasies.
It's when Nokker did what they did, and later, everyone cheered: Ahh, he's the same as Hayase, never believed him. But!
Is it really not OBVIOUS that Fushi and their associates were killed by his Nokker, and he did not know this and did not want to? It’s his fault that he went crazy and behaved like a yandere, but he didn’t go from scratch, getting up in the morning and deciding: “So today I’m a yandere,” or he didn’t hide an evil essence in himself, and Nokker SPECIALLY brought him to crazy day after day, + concern for Fushi and Bon's general omissions. There is a difference whether the person who went initially, or whether the Monster made him so. He cut off his hand to save Marta, he sacrificed himself to protect Eko (it didn't work), and people keep writing that the only good thing he did: suicide? He did not personally betray Fushi, in fact, he was used without his knowledge, and he did not deserve SUCH atonement and self-hatred. He was the only one (until Fushi resurrected past friends) who cared about Fushi's psychological state and his condition, and then they write that he did not do anything good. Another thing is that after Nokker took possession of his face, he no longer had a choice: he could not return: Nokker is dangerous for Fushi: it is impossible to cut Nokker - he will kill doctors like Kai ..
I was waiting for Mizuha, sorry they didn’t show ...
It's funny to read anime only theories about future events..
Fushi in Bon's body is very interesting to look at.

Didn't really vibe with this season. It was still good, but felt like a downgrade compared to the excellent season 1.

I still have no idea what is going on with Kahaku or the black cloak man.

Despite this, I'm excited for season 3. The setting has me intrigued. Maybe season 4 will involve Fushi going into space lol.

I cried like a baby at the end, I was sadden that everyone loved their lives how they wanted to and March being the first one to die as she waited by Fushi’s sad was heartbreaking like she’s such a real one bro😢😢😢

But the ending got me tho I was NOT expecting Fushi to be living in the modern era like I was used to everything being in medieval times that I’m curious as to what the author is cooking up by making Fushi live in present times, I can’t WAIT to see what happens and what fushi does in season 3🤩🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥
