| The lack of mention of Claymore and Gunslinger Girl makes this an incomplete list, especially as both have female leads handled far more competently than how many battle shounens treat their female leads. |

| Honestly Nobara is a badass. She has great abilities, she's respected, she's given her own scenes, and gives her all in them instead of looking weak she looks strong/intimidating. The rest of the females are also skilled and strong which is great to have in a Shounen even if they aren't the leads :D |
