| That was an amazing start there. This has certainly become my favorite show of the season so far. With the way I read this, it's set up like Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, except that it's a drama rather than a comedy. There's nothing Mahiru can't do, but I have a feeling that she has more in common with Amane besides the fact that they live next door in the same apartment complex. |

I also believe that the direction and animation could have been better. But there also some things you're wrong with. While reading, I always felt that it was a more mature story. I'm not saying it wasn't cute. And I think the anime is cute too. But if you want it to be cuter it can't be helped. But I think most people along with me would prefer a mature romance which is rare in the anime industry. And then I think you kinda overestimating the manga or the novel. It is indeed one of the best. But no way it should be 9+. 8.3-8.6 is okay. And you're getting too much disappointed from only the first episode. 1st ep was just building up the story. The wholesome slice of life part is yet to come. |

| I have confidence in Project 9 as they make every scene count within whatever budget they mean to work with. That is my impression of their past work and currently with this one. Except this one has a bit more detail despite conservative animation. So I don’t consider Project 9’s work average at all, if anything they work expertly within their means. Rest assured this adaptation will do very well. |

| Wow, we're only in the first episode, but this already has me smiling from ear to ear, I am going to fucking love this show. Dude gave his umbrella, now he has a wife, excellent. Kidding aside, they're really cute. Mahiru's voice surprised me, but I love it, it was perfect for her personality. Really looking forward for 11 more weeks of comfiness. Also, the OP is funky, but then I saw the OP visuals, they did not sync shit lmao. |

| Thank goodness that this guy got his place cleaned in this first episode. Would've hate for Shiina to continue to come over to his place and have it look like THAT. Didn't know anything about this going in, never intended to pick it up. But I saw its art-style and how familiar it looked, and yes indeed, it was good old Project No.9... didn't really get me excited to check it out. I liked "Love After World Dominion" (basically boarding school juliet but on shrooms), that was good. "Bottom Tier Tomozaki" was not necessarily a bad show, but I found it rather cringe. And we all know how not-weird "Higehiro" turned out to be. I was surprised with "My Stepmom's Daughter is my Ex" as I found it to be some dumb fun at first, but eventually it grew old for me and I got bored and dropped it. Now I've arrived at "The Angel Next Door....", and my first impressions are: I really like it so far. I like the voice they gave Shiina. Just judging from her character design, I was expecting something high-pitched perhaps, something loli-like. But no it is quite subdued, and easy to listen to. I like the mildly irritated mood she has around Fujimiya, as he occasionally lightly teases her. She's mostly calm and composed, as seen in the cliched event we have as they trip and fall on each other: she doesn't get overly flustered and start beating Fujimiya to death. And speaking of our main lead Fujimiya, he's nothing too special either, but I like him as our main character. He's not a complete baby, not a total pathetic loser, he's just a guy who perhaps needs a little love- as seen by the dump he was living in. There can be no romance at all in the episodes to come, and I probably wouldn't mind it at all. What I see is a neighbor taking care of their neighbor, and that neighbor perhaps returning the favour in kindness. Shiina may be helping out Fujimiya from the kindness of her heart, but it's not like the dude doesn't deserve it at all. He protected her from the rain and got sick for her sake after all. I'd like to see where their relationship goes, and to see how it grows. But again, even if the slim chance occurs in which they don't develop any romantic feelings for each other at all, I probably would be totally okay with that. For me, just seeing two neighbors help each other out is wholesome and heart-warming enough for me. Looking forward to more. I was surprised when I saw the above-7.5 rating; I think it's at 7.8-ish right now. But I'm not surprised now. It deserves it, and maybe will deserve any even higher score later on. |

| Hahaha, went in blind and thought the show would be about a literal angel, lol. In the end it turns out to be one of those "losers" show where the hottest chick in school does cooking and cleaning for mr.nobody after he shows the smallest interest towards her. The cliché loner eats poorly and his apartment is filled with trash. How I met your mother? I just gave her an umbrella on a rainy day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not actually hating on the show. I simply can't hide disappointment after seeing similar crap over and over again. It's just pathetic how these type of shows are mostly targeting lonely Japanese weebs who can only dream of such scenarios. But then again we have whole Isekai genre so who am I kidding... Certainly not my cup of tea. May watch few more episodes to see if something remotely interesting happens, before dropping. |

| Seems like this will be a fun and chill show. I quite enjoyed the nonchalant conversation between the two and I'm definitely curious to see how it'll develop over the span of the season. |

| trope is a trope. I wish a cute rich girl could come over and start cooking me meals and offering to clean my apartment. what the hell. What is my life even worth? Anyways, been around the block so the premise is kind of meh to me but only because there are like 800 similar scenarios in other shows so I'm hoping there's something else that sparks interest (Like the comedy that was absent in this episode tbh), because otherwise it's going to be a long season. Cute art tho |
| Bro lent her an umbrella once when she was feeling down when rain was really pouring down only to change his life forever, dude's living the life , he gets homecooked meals for free from his next-door neighbor and even helped him clean his apartment, this anime is good |

| It's hilarious how the vibe of the OP song does not fit the tone of the series (Best OP song of the season by far tho) I heard great things about this series but my knowledge only goes as far as the manga. The art is... alright, but the animation is so stiff. |

| Everything moved at glacial pace. From the dialogue to any kind of new interaction on behalf of the two main protags. Not a fan of these "cool" guys that always have the right answer for every single jab any other will throw at them, it makes me feel like they are prepped actors just waiting for their cue. Yeah I know it's not the typical male protag that makes a huge ruckus for the most minimal interaction with a girl, but I just wished there were more levels in between rather than being one or the other. Guess I'll give this one the 3 episode rule, and just hope the pacing gets better. |
