Incidentally, this seems to be the first occurrence where the entire crew is labeled "Straw Hats". Before it was just used to describe Luffy. Shooting Vivi was probably the dumbest fucking thing they could have done. |

| Something I'm noticing a lot with this series is the fact that the devil fruit eaters don't seem to be overly cautious about being near the edge of the ship. Just like Luffy, this Wapol stood on the very edge of the ship. You'd think they'd get some type of sinking feeling, especially if they've fallen in before. |

| Seeing Sanji walk out into the line of fire of pirates, taken hostage, as he casually lights up a cigarette and asks what's going on was pretty great. It was reminiscent of when he was knocked through a wall by a fishman and his first action when waking up covered in his own blood was to light up a cigarette. How cool. The entire first scene made me laugh a lot. We finally got an idea of what Smoker's up to, I had thought we forgot about him by now. I suppose we got something in store for us the second we make it to Alabasta. Luffy's go to remedies if you're near death with a fever: 1. Eat all the meat. 2. Laugh at his funny faces. 3. Dump water all over them. Luffy should be everyone's doctor. Usopp getting up early to fix the ship was heartwarming. I love Usopp so much sometimes. Also, for similarities with Luffy and Goku, both had a very delayed reaction to the cold which was used in a similar comedic way, however Luffy clearly loves it a lot more than Goku who was just confused by it. I was not expecting Vivi to get shot, now two need a doctor.... Oh and the song that played when they discovered the winter island "Grand Line Island Cold" was perfect for the moment and my favorite OP song so far. |
| Smoker made a brief return and it looks like he's on his way to Alabasta. Wapol made his debut but he wasn't very threatening but I guess that it's a trend for a lot of their enemies with their first encounters. I love how Nami noticed that everyone's caring for her and I can only imagine how important she have felt to be surrounded by such reliable nakama. Vivi got shot by those guys, oh shit. |

| A submersible ship huh? Wapol's devil fruit power is...unique. That was a fairly quick fight. Pretty sure this isn't the last time we'll be seeing them. Aye! We got to see Capt. Smoker and Tashigi again! Glad to see they are still relevant and chasing the Straw Hats. Hmm, we get a bit more explanation about the erratic climate and weather of Grand Line. Bruh Luffy wasn't even feeling cold until he was told about the temperature XD Our crew reached a snow island whose inhabitants seem pretty darn hostile |

| Really dig how this show reminds us of old characters and storylines that didn't finish, ie. Smoker and Tashigi. Also, Usopp sleeping in his goggles and Luffy trying to cheer up Nami is so funny. Everyone sleeping there with her while Sanji holds watch is so sweet. Whoa, did they shoot Vivi? |
| I tell ya, the moment Smoker appeared at first I was like: "Oh hey Smoker's back." and then the scene with him continues and he's got a message and he's playing it back for Tashigi's benefit and then I realise that Smoker has essentially intercepted the phone call between Mr O and Sanji and now he knows that Luffy's crew are on the move to Alabasta and he intends to head there to look for them. So now my reaction is basically: "Oh shit, Smoker's gonna head to Alabasta but the straw hats aren't even there yet! Which means he's going to be waiting for them when they arrive! Not only that Alabasta is at war at the moment, plus they are trying to get Vivi back so that also means not only are they gonna have to deal with the hostile forces that are currently dominating the war but also have to deal with the marines plus Smoker!" Which is in itself, very worrying and may lead to disaster later on. With that being said, we do get a sneaky glimpse of one of the other members of Baroque Works albeit briefly in the form of Mr 2. And he's very flamboyant if I do say so myself. He's very into his flamingos apparently. The rest of the episode is very humorous from Luffy essentially trying to cheer up the sick Nami with his silly faces, to him suddenly feeling cold after about 3 hours of being in the cold as well as him being excited about the island in general. But ohhhh those people shouldn't have shot Vivi, now they REALLY DO need a doctor to help them out. Otherwise this was a great episode personally. No complaints, this was pretty solid episode, yeah, pretty solid episode for me. |
