| Last episode of One Piece for 2022. 🤢🤢🤢🤢BLAGH!! Yamato's hybrid form from the re-cap was unnecessary, why does Toei show this from 2 episodes ago? 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 reeeeee 3+ re-cap and more Where are Sasaki, and Who's Who's fight? What?! Anyway I don't want to complain. Oh cool FukuroKoju, I find him to be a forgetable character Ahh damn, what is Killer going to do now? Kid is part of Hawkins doll. I hate perosperos, but I always like more Sanji screentime, it's always a big win. Sanji's scene was obviously the best, it was nutty. RocciaNobili was the 2nd key animator for this episode, he/she probably did the Sanji scene |

| I don't care if it's padded, having more of Kid and Law vs Big Mom and Killer vs Hawkins > all the Ice Oni filler > all the Yamato running away with Momo filler. Still not as epic as Raizo vs Fukurokuju tho. Peak fr. Second half went stupid. Sanji MVP for holding it down against two commanders. Nekomamushi also came clutch. Great pacing and direction again, even tho it could've been even better if they managed to adapt the entire chapter 1022. Blueball ending to this year of One Piece. Sadly and I mean really sadly we will have to wait till January 8th before the stars can finally take the stage. Recap instead of the Wings of the Pirate King... 2022 had nonetheless it's ups. Some of the best episodes and scenes ever were dropped so that's good enough. |

| The Sanji scenes were absolutely stellar in this episode along with the Perospero and Cat Viper sequences, some really good art and animation on display here. The #1 Sanji stan approves! |
| The amount of recapping has gotten ridiculous lately. It's bad enough that this arc has the slowest pacing, then they choose the most boring way of padding out the episodes by recapping stuff from previous ones. The Sanji vs Queen and King scene was nicely animated... too bad it only lasted like 2 minutes. |

| Episode was good. The brutality of the Animal Kingdom Pirates from King and Queen are awesome. The ending was a douchebag move. Next episode is just a recap. But it needs to be done. |

Also I think there is a very likely chance we will get another "opening" because everything beyond this point is going to be drastically diff content from the current opening. |

| no complaints today from me. first half was decent. animation department really popped off in the second half. sanji proving he's defo one of toei's faves yet again bc pretty much every bit of his screentime today was immaculate. i know we all hate recaps but this time i'm not mad, i think its kinda fitting as the last episode of the year plus i'll be very busy with family next week so idek if i'd be able to find time to watch next week LMAO so yeah selfish or whatever. |

| I'm not used to weekly stuff in OP yet but thank god each episode airs in the morning for me. As for the episode, I really don’t mind Robin’s recap kek she cracked Black Maria like an absolute goddess with her Demonio fleur. It’s now good that the enemy’s tough top officers a.k.a Tobi Roppo, are all defeated. Goodness gracious Luffy really ate a mountains full of one’s monthly food, he gave no shit about others scarcity :laugh: crazy how he can digest all that and still got a pack. 3rd Floor of the Castle in Onigashima, Raizo vs Fukurokuju is one heck of a fight, Raizo’s narrative along to lead in Oden’s past shows how much he wants everything must be obeyed to fulfill Oden’s wish even if it’s a sacrifice to do so. I really do like how the storyboard kinda shows between fights of Killer vs Hawkins & Kidd & Law vs Big Mom to show different ends for the better or worse. Queen & King vs Sanji on the other hand.. Sanji is a fucking monster, holding his own against two yonko commanders! Masami mori is a god I love his diversity and raw moments back in Episode 1015: Yamato’s dream scene. What an entertaining fight, feels good when Sanji’s moment got animated rightfully. |

| Sometimes I have the oddest thoughts while watching anime. Like after Luffy "digested" his food, I thought, "Luffy must take massive dumps." Then I wondered how many bathrooms were on the Merry. LOL Poor Killer. He just needs to put some faith in Kid and go for broke. Damn big cat said, "Let's take this outside," and bitch slapped Perospero into a boulder! I think that was my favorite scene in the episode. Next week's a recap = worthless. |

| Sanji vs Queen and King was so good it literally made my heart beat faster while I was watching it. Honestly, I would have preferred it if Sanji had been able to land a clean hit on King, and maybe also if Queen had been the one to hit Sanji in the end instead of King, but the animation was amazing enough to make up for these things, and in any case it was very satisfying to see Sanji dealing with both at the same time, successfully avoiding King's attack twice, even though the second time Sanji did it he was distracted with Queen (meaning that Sanji is much faster than King before any power-up), having an even clash with King's sword, and only getting hit in the end because he was caught distracted after having just hit Queen. King acknowledging that he made use of Queen as a decoy as a means to hit Sanji was also satisfying to hear. And, on a second thought, it is somehow actually a good thing that King was the one who hit Sanji in the end, since it means that even without Sanji wearing the raid suit, and even with Queen serving as a decoy to distract Sanji, King still can't deal relevant damage on Sanji. And it's noteworthy that Sanji was able to avoid every single one of Queen's attacks even though he had to deal with King at the same time. |

It is a perfect time for the start of the new year for TOIE to sort of restructure what they are going to do for the last parts of the arc, gather resources and maybe even hire freelance directors and artists to create some of the upcoming episodes because things are going to get very intense and i think TOIE will want there A team involved for sure. Ishitani will probably be involved in some of these episodes. With all that being said, the content is a bit different with alot of interesting plot developments so I think we are in need of a new opening at this point in time since the current Opening is hardly relevent any more and it would be the perfect re-start for the new year and the staff can give us some high quality anime. |

I refrained from adding how I personally feel and choose to give you a realistic estimate of what to expect. Was hoping that it would help you with adjusting your expectations. I mean, Luffy vs Kaido is the final fight so I wouldn't be too fixated on that for now. We'll get a big moment in a few episodes, but the climax won't happen anytime soon. The narrative of this arc is divided into multiple subplots/scenes that happen simultaneously after all. If you can binge the manga it flows a lot better. It's the anime's pacing and the fact that you're watching it weekly that's causing the problem here. You could try the manga and you will most likely end up pleasantly surprised when you realize that it takes Luffy only a few pages to reach Kaido(if you add all the pages since he was beaten it doesn't even amount to one chapter) |
