| Tbh I was underwhelmed today... not saying that this episode was bad... but mistakes were visible... Good points first: Great ost perfect cinematography and camera angles anime original opening scene specially the gun shots in different locations were done great Bad points: Janky art... noticeable from the breakfast scene CGI was good but it was breaking the immersion a lot Personal bias - I though the Kon scene wud be as good as shown in the preview... but that didnt happen...weak 2D debris structure there Maybe I'm too critical but I wanted MAPPA to animate this scene as good as they did in the eternity devil part I wanted them to surpass the manga but I guess manga is still better at this point |
| I think it was a great episode, but I expected something better than that, and honestly it's a shame that we have CG katana man in some scene, I thought they would animate him fully in 2D since they don't have to worry about the rotating chainsaw, but it probably just me having too much expectations. |

| The Aki vs Katana Man fight was insane, as one of my favourite fights in the manga, the anime really did it justice. The part where the Curse Devil shows up was so eerie and off-putting, this gives me reassurance for another similar scene later in the show. The CGI was very well done too. Ghost Devil looked beautiful and the fight it had with Katana Man also looked incredible. The best animated part though was the Fox Devil’s summon. Man that was insanely done. Bravo MAPPA |

| well, you know, it's not the greatest piece of animation to ever face earth, there are a good few movies with better animation. but as far as tv anime goes, this is pretty much as good as it gets. |

| Thanks so much for that third option. Of course I'm not in favor of cgi, but at the same time I don't mind it either. People just make too much of a big deal out of it. As long as done right, no one should really be complaining. But I guess that's where the gray area comes in: what determines WHEN it is done right? Simply when it doesn't hurt your eyeballs? In that case it's all just up to personal preference (duh), as a lot of very intelligent minds have programmed themselves to be disgusted the moment they see a single frame of cgi Although I hope most can agree that having CG backgrounds to help mimic 3D camera movement does in fact greatly elevate a scene rather than hinder it. Like the 3D maneuver gear scenes from AOT were one of the first if not THE first to utilize having CG backgrounds, and I've never heard a single soul say "EW THAT LOOKS SO BAD" |

| I don't think the episode was bad, but I just didn't enjoy it very much. For me it was definitely the weaker one. The start of the episode had super slow pacing and then the end of the episode had super fast pacing. Seemed like they could've adapted more if they hadn't focused 5 minutes of it on the himeno thing and the ending part would've been more impactful For me it wasn't impactful at all due to the cgi (which i usually thought was great, except for this part) and pacing pretty much. Hopefully the other episodes will be better. |
