I also really like when the anime improves upon or enhances the source material, especially if it’s based on a manga (because if the manga is better, I’d rather read it). Cute animals are a bonus. Also, I strongly prefer slice of life to action, and I don’t really care about “good animation”. ❅ Dislikes: Romance is main genre/focus (can include romance but I don’t want that to be its selling point). CGDCT. Egregious yaoi/yuri bait (but I’m fine if it’s mild). Ecchi, sexualization of minors, fanservice, pretty much anything rated 18+ in that department. Dark fantasy, isekai, bad exposition (as in, the first few episodes don’t explain the setting well), overly fast pacing//cuts too much content from the manga. Flashy action scenes; PLEASE no bright flashing lights. For example, I can’t watch anything like Demon Slayer. Check some of my completed manga for low scores (example: I won’t want to watch Monster). Also, probably avoid straight up BL/yuri anime because I don’t have a good track record for liking those, unless you REALLY think it would appeal to me. Also, avoid the Monogatari series, Requiem of the Rose King, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Free!, and individual Jojos seasons as I have no interest. Finally, avoid AOT and Madoka Magica as those have been completely spoiled for me. ❅ Any sub/stream restrictions?: Not sure. I’m in the US.
