| I had never seen the original series, so I watched this episode and i got a feeling that everything went by very quickly, maybe to try to end some rollover that had in the original version, perhaps to bring to a more modern language. So I went to watch the first episode of 1981 and Thought oh, now it makes sense. This remake only exists because there is the previous one, in the sense of: it is better to watch after having watched the original version because it is really rushed on purpose Including some of the shades of comedy are lost But as adaptation seems to honor well the other and the story as a whole. In 2022 shinobu seems to stress for no reason, while in the old he gives several reasons, including the scene of the "confusion" of marriage in the new gets a little strange the dynamics. In the old is a sub-theme of conservatism of the time of people to get married.There is also a whole issue of society pressing ataru for his "duty" in the new version he just accepts because he wants to be with a cutie. And then the guilt of the actions he committed for his "duty" and the consequences, this is left out, perhaps to alleviate the theme of the series.These points may configure key points of this adaptation that, at least, seems promising to me |
| The only prior knowledge I had before watching the 2022 remake is a short clip of Lum's nipples on youtube, but for me who hasn't watched the original this was a good first episode. Comedy relies on 'quick' events happening one after another it seems, rather than the joke itself. But this is a comedy anime I won't be too critical about it. Animation is great by David Production standard and gorgeous color palettes. Voice acting is top notch since a lot of professionals are in on this project. OP is catchy as hell. It's almost inspirational how Ataru gives his all to marry the dream girl of his life.  |

| I knew absolutely nothing about this before watching. My first impressions: It's stupid and a waste of my time. It is a great parody of anime from 1980, only with the tech and money of 2022. I had no idea it was actually a remake. Now I can imagine the producers on a big nostalgia trip saying, "Let's remake our favorite anime from 1980!" I'm saving this for a rainy day when I'm bored out of my skull and have nothing else to do. |

| It could have been worse, but still in the heart, the new Ataru will please the ears. And the joke about the protective cloak from lightning generally feels like subtle banter and references to the old Ataru (who is now Ataru's dad xD). Noragami fans should generally warm their ears, there's a repeat of the Yato/Hiori duet *___* The graphics are hyper bright. And Lum perfectly contorts his muzzles :3 |

| I liked it. I think that it really captures some of the elements of the original, while some has definitely been updated as well. All in all it feels like it will be a lot of fun- dumb fun and I'm looking forward to it. |

| I was hesitant of watching this one. The original is such an classic and specially the films are absolute high points of 80's anime. But the dynamic between Lum and Ataru (and specially the personality of the latter) might not really be as endearing this time around. But so far so good, the voice actors are ok (Lum's "darling" is on point) and the changes they made to the story were not significant. |
