| As someone who likes Ishigami more, and I only speak for myself here, I like him because of how much more emotionally developed his character feels. Compared to the president, he feels much more real, more deep, basically more human. The president being the "popular hard working genius" regardless of how unique his character and his dynamic with the cast are, is still an unrelatable, somewhat unrealistic, and not very interesting trope when he can be so dense about things sometimes. I started reading the manga recently and I'm only a couple volumes ahead of the anime, but while I was reading the chapters that are airing now, Ishigami side of the story was the main factor that kept me wanting more(I literally couldn't stop reading, I got so invested in it that I was reading it during work), even though it was the more exciting the development between the main characters ever got so far. |

| Can't relate to any of them, especially Ishigami, who's a self-insert unreal character with over the top personality and background. I also prefer Shirogane over anyone is this show, although is also an unbelievable character. |
| Because he's relatable to most of the people on this website lmao and he's got more flavour to him yk, Shirogane feels a little bland at times in my opinion so it makes perfect sense, just because someone's the main character doesn't mean they're the most popular (Killua in HxH, Levi in AOT, etc.) |

| The issue is Shirogane isn't a bishounen or ikemen. So with him looking like a Mini-Boss villain. Or an underdog in a hooligan/yankee type show. Can't really argue with his 5 k position. |
