Maybe wholesome anime could be good too, like Yuru Camp or Houkago Teibou Nisshi. I'd say the CGDCT or Iyashikei themed animes are the best for me at least.
Natsume Yujinchou is another one I have my eye on, looks promising.nishant0 said:highly recommend,
NNB its like this anime is made for people who are kinda depressed, down and need a break type.
Barakamon and Silver spoon also come to my mind in this category.
That's a lot of NNB recs now, and yes, Barakamon does feel like another good and comfy iyashikei anime.Yumerei said:For me it's Little Witch Academia, Ranma1/2, or Gintama
I kinda want to watch LWA, it looks fun. Ranma1/2 is an interesting choice.Aroo-nyan said:Umm.. none. I'd rather to take a rest. You guys relly have got so much energy even in sickness.
Guilty as charged, lol.Lincanfer said:elnino02 said:Interesting. I haven't watched it myself, but do you think the info dumps would be alright for a sore head? Although I do imagine it being funny to see them explain why we're sick in the first place
Well it depends. When people are sick they often feel scared. (If it's normal cold or fever then it's fine) so at those time watching some shows which gives you confidence in your immune system, tells you that your body is doing its best to fight the sickness is quite assuring. It worked for me. Yup like you said each epsiode contain lots of information and with health condition it may not be the best show to binge. Nonetheless watching one episode whenever we are mentally down during sickness is good.
To binge others have already recommend a lot so...
That's a very interesting line of reasoning, thank you for sharing your thoughts.A_Morbid_Shadow said:Hm, I've had a similar experience but it was a mistake in hindsight.
I have cyclic vomiting syndrome and on two separate occasions, I binged Fairy Tail while in recovery phase (when light and sound alone didn't make me want to hurl anymore), and it just so happens that on both occasions, I was at the exact same arc (rewatched, never logged it on MAL).
Now any time that arc is brought up I make a mental connection to my violent chronic illness that has made me emetophobic. Eurgh.
This is kind of an isolated situation though, any other time it works out fine. If I catch a cold and binge something I haven't seen before, I probably won't associate it with the cold I had while watching it. Just unfortunate that I watched the same exact thing twice while suffering from an illness that basically gave me trauma.
Though I think I watched Naruto a few times while sick, but since it was different arcs/episodes, it was fine. I prefer long shows so I don't have to think about what to pick next, since I'm probably going to be laying in bed for a while and the last thing I want to do is think. Shut the brain off to recover faster.
Sounds like a horrible experience, I wish you good health. I hope you don't have to go though this again.bnp said:Redo of Healer, it's the best healing anime about healing people.
Ah, finally. I've been waiting for someone to post that one obligatory Redo of Healer joke on one of my threads for quite some time now.Dauphine said:I urge everyone who is sick to watch Hataraku Saibou, trust me, i recovered much faster after seeing how hard our cells work to keep us healthy and happy, it really encouraged me and as a reults made my syntomps less painful and they litterally went away much faster!!!
I see, another Cells At Work rec. I'm obliged to take a look at it now.
