| Yes. Let's admit it. We are all gay to a certain extent. e.g. Liking Astolfo is gay, because Astolfo is a male and if you are a male and you like another male, that is called gay. You can argue all you want, saying things like "the voice actor is a girl" or the fact that Astolfo is a fictious character. But I ask you this. If Astolfo (or somebody like him) exists in real life, would your feelings remain the same? Yes, Astolfo is a fictious character, but just because he's fictious doesn't mean that the possibility of somebody like Astolfo existing in real life is zero. I've seen a couple of males who look so fucking feminine irl before and its honestly baffling how they could look more of a girl than a girl. Our gender becomes questionable the more feminine someone is. Like, imagine your crush. You've been crushing on her for about 5 years and then one day you accidentally saw her with a genitalia. Unbelievable? Yes. Possible? Possibly very low but not zero, since something like intersex, transplantation, gender change shenanigans exists. And yeah. I also feel like gender will become less of itself in the future thanks to the development of technologies. Like, we might be able to make and use an avatar we customized ourselves as our own body regardless of the gender of the avatar. At that point, everybody is pretty much "gay". ok i typed too much. what do you guys think tho? |

Unless you completely stop being interested in the opposite gender as well, which I doubt is the case for most people who might fancy an anime character of their own gender. Also, I wouldn't put too much value on how much fictional anime characters really say about your irl sexual preferences, but hey, all the power to people figuring themselves out better through anime :) |

Ruka-chan from Steins;Gate is more feminine than any female character, but he's a dude. However, you'd be attracted to his female figure, not his sexual organ. |

| I don't know about that...I'm attracted to a lot of stuff in fiction that would probably weird me out in real life. Snake girl in Monster Musume, Celty from Durarara, every anthro animal character I find attractive...and so on. I'm not listing everything I'm into.. Not to mention male characters I like the look of that I'd have zero interest in if they were real, beyond thinking they looked kinda cool. What you like in fiction doesn't always translate to real life. |
