| haven't watched all of monogatari, but what I have watched I watched in release order, and that's what I'd recommend I feel like trying to watch it chronologically makes it only more confusing |

| Start with the release order then you can experiment with the various watch orders. |

| start with zoku, then for the first season (bake, kizu, nise, neko) you should use a randomizer to choose the order of these. Then watch hana, and for the rest watch it backwards of release order (owari s2, koyomi, owari s1) but you should honestly watch tsuki in between koyomi and owari, you don't have to but it's better that way. Side note: when watching kizu make sure you watch nise ep 8 in between the first and second movie. If you have already watched nise based on the randomized order then watch it again. If your watch through put kizu before nise rewatch ep 8 when it comes around. |

| Release Order in Anime is Nearly always best order. The only exception is Fate franchise but this is debatable. |

| Start with kizumongatari then nekomonogatari release order after that. Don't watch bakemonogatari before kizumonogatari as it spoils kizumonogataris entire plot in the first few minutes of episode one. |
