| I don't eat steak. For many years, I couldn't chew it because I had a messed up bite. In 2019, I finally got the jaw surgery that I had been putting off since 2005. 10/10 do not recommend. Dear god, that was a terrible recovery process. And the titanium plates and screws still give me headaches all the time. Anyway, I digress. I was so excited to finally try steak. I've tried it several times since said surgery and I have disliked it every single time. |
| Medium since that's the one I get the least amount of flack from medium rare and rare eaters, but sometimes if I'm feeling daring and want to piss them off, I'll go all the way up to "well done". |

| I prefer my steak medium well. I brush my steaks with some olive oil. Add lots of salt and lots fresh ground black pepper. Let sit in a the fridge 3 to 4 hours.The I let the steak war up to room temperature before throwing it on the charcoal grill. The black pepper compliments the charcoal grill taste really well. I do not put any sauce on it. I feel that if a steak is well seasoned then it doesn't need any sauce. That said if I ate steak a whole lot then I might put sauce on it for a little variety. Back when I was younger I used to like my steak only well done.Of course back then I also cut off all the fat before cooking it too. So now I now better. |
