If you are talking about that two OVAs they made, it has such a high score singlehandedly because it's all about Kurumi, which is objectively the best girl in this show. Just like Kurumi Star Festival, which actually has the highest score and was not made by GEEKTOYS. Overall, I wouldn't say that quality of the OVA will be translated into TV series, because budget and deadlines are completely different. |

| Better than season 3? Easily yes but not hard to accomplish. Will it be a super good looking season? Maybe. At least average. I heavily enjoyed the char designs for Date a Bullet so I'm happy it's here in DAL 4 too. |

You do realize the first episode usually have better animation, right? Unless the production schedule is very bad (Like AoT: Final Season, OPM2, Index III and DAL III for example), there's no way in hell they would fucked up the first two to four episodes so badly since those episodes should already been finished in production by the time the anime begin. People said the same thing as yours back when Plunderer (Another anime made by the same studio) aired in 2020, and yet the anime eventually became DAL III level of bad in less than five episodes in and never manage to recover it for the next 20+ episodes. Hell, even that Taiwan Three Kingdoms anime that aired last season is only above avenge at best (It surprised me they managed to keep the art style consistently despite it's dull action sequences). Keep in mind this anime was in production around the same time as DAL IV did and both was supposed to air in the October 2021 before they delayed them. How about we wait for a few more episodes to come out first? Or even better, wait until the anime ended before you defend the so-called "best studio in the world"? It's still amused me that you guys keep ignoring the other four awful anime GEEKTOYS made in the past, while keep using DAB (Two freaking movies with obvious higher budgets than ordinary TV series) as a excuse to defend them. It's fine for saying they did a good job for the first episode look good since it does look good regardless how you felt about studio's previous works, but to claim everyone was wrong based sorely on one episode and goddamn movies doesn't make your points any valid at all. |

Do people even understood how animes and studios work? Plunderer was a no name series no studio would put their own resources on the line towards doing. Date A Live is fantasia bunko's most popular series and one of the only few series making kadokawa money. If Date A Live fails, Fantasia Bunko may as well file for bankruptcy. Yet people make this bizarre comparison DAL will get the short end of the corporate stick. People seem to equate studio equals anime yet never analyze the staff. Most studios contract a lot of staff unless you do everything in house. Dal iii is a bad conparison because jc staff was juggling way too many hit series. If people think everything geek toys will do is bad because of relatively no name series, then konosuba should be bad cuz of deen stay night, 7ds, tsukihime. The differences between GEEKTOYS and those studios you mentioned is that GEEKTOYS don't have a really good record with their works. The other studios at least has more than one work to proven their credibility to make good stuffs, even if their recent works mostly has mixed receptions, while GEEKTOYS had almost nothing beside DAB to back them up. It's harder for people to trust GEEKTOYS's abilities with their low record (There's a reason why the other user called them D-tier studio, after all). Of course I would like to be proven wrong but it's hard to tell for now so I would keep my expectations low at best. |
