| He's just a dump ass who sits and watch everything in the entire manga......just keeps on listening to Ryna and others and doesn't do anything of his own......and at last he just gets a stupid plan ...... anyways no spoilers |

| He went from one of my all time favorite anime characters to absolutely forgettable & mediocre within one season. Most of the core characters start to lose that original flare around this time. It's like GoT S8 all over again where Jon Snow went from one of the most dynamic heroes of fantasy to a total NPC with no will of his own. |

| Armin's character arc officially concluded with the end of S3P2. He is basically a static character at this point, unless you count his crush on Annie, courtesy of Birthcontrol's memories. Which isn't bad on its own, however Armin was never an idealist when it came to strategies. He suddenly became one after the Rumbling was initiated. |
| He became partially Bertholdt after the injection. Basically For me, Armin as my favourite character died then. He just wasn't the same anymore after that. And if that was planned by Isayama as such, it's kind of clever to be honest. Shows how people / characters change when they are with the memories of other characters. |

| the colossal was in marley possession for 2000 years, berthold loved annie, armin's personality was shaped by that and he failed to realize. Armin died being burned by berthold, it was only a matter of time for him to wake up to marley. |

I think that maybe it has something to do with the personality/amount of empathy the character inheriting the memories has. Since Armin is a very empathetic person he most likely saw Bertholdts memories and they effected him more personally because he’s empathic. He also may have had feelings for Annie prior to inheriting the colossal Titan that were heightened by Bertholdts memories of Annie and the way he felt about her. The reason I bring up the empathy thing because Eren didn’t seem to be effected by Grisha’s memories in the same way or even to the extent that Armin was. Maybe I’m over analyzing it but that’s just the way I thought of it. I agree because Eren and Armin are exactly different because of that reason. And believe to think the feelings for Annie appeared after seeing Bertholdt's memories. Before it was more of a comrade thing. Just to further indicate and hint towards how much Armin changed to be more like Bertholdt because he had sincere feelings for her and Armin has a lot of empathy. Sadly Bertholdt was one of my least liked characters. So by putting my favourite character and least liked character together, well the result is someone inbetween, "meh", lol. But in sense of writing it's impressive. Even though i lost my favourite character. |
