Yuu Yuu Hakusho

Start date: 08-19-14

End date: 03-09-19

but that would be beaten easily if I ever bothered to finish Berserk, Initial D S1 or Dragon Ball Kai which I also started watching in 2014

That's actually a respectable pace. I started it at the end of June last year and am only at episode 102.

18 years and counting. I've been trying to knock out Yugioh. But i find myself watching the first seasons and wanting to return to them instead of finishing it.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

Hunter x Hunter (2011).

The old date that was on MAL said I started it in 2014. I got through the Yorknew City arc.
And only last year did I restart from the beginning and finally finish it.

So, all in all, it took me 7 years to watch a 148 episode anime lmfao.

Hamtaro I started 6177 days ago and still haven't finished.

In terms of anime I've actually finished the longest would be Mameshiba at 2363 days, which is because I watched the first 20 episodes in one day thinking that was all there was, put it on my completed list, and then years later MAL decided to add another 4 episodes to it. I couldn't find those 4 anywhere at first, so I just ignored it and left it as completed at 20/24 for a long time, but eventually I got around to watching those last 4.

As for anime I actually watched consistently my highest is Gintama at 1394 days since I watched it once a week.

This actual reminds me that I have been trying to watch assassination classroom from last 2 years but I am still unable to finish it. The show has few good parts but most of it is cringe and boring to watch. Because of the parts I liked about the show I have not been able to drop it but at same time I find it unbearable to watch sometimes.

Death Note on my rewatch of it. I reached L's death, after which I know shit gets unbearably boring, so I've been rewatching it for a solid year now.
First time, probably Black Clover, which took me about 3 months.
BTW your opinions aren't unpopular lmfao. It's pretty well accepted I'd say. Equal support on both sides. All I got from that is that you like AOT and Death Note a lot.

I 'd say Cowboy Bebop. It's good, but the episodic nature of the show makes it hard for me to care for it and I put it on hold several times for multiple years. 10+ years from the first time to the last episode.

Other than that those long running shonen of the 90s that took a couple of years to finish due to the reprising of old arcs while the TV stations didn't have the rights for the latter ones. Saint Seiya took 1 year to finish and Dragon Ball Z 2 years.

That's basically me with code geass, I always start it and I'm like yeah this is pretty good, then halfway through the show I feel like I'm litterally gonna die of boredom if I keep watching it. Maybe I'm cursed...

I have been trying to watch Gintama off and on for almost 12 years in counting now...I put it back on my ptw list after having it on hold forever and recently started watching it again....I still have not finished it but it is in the making...sometime....

But an anime I actually finished that took a long time...probably Bleach...that one took a couple of years to actually complete, I just wasn't really feeling it. So it took me a long time but I also wanted to finish it.

I think Naruto and long running shounen should not be an included or should be on a separate category because it's unfair due to episode count

Anyway my answer is Tayutama: Kiss on My Deity as it took me at least three months to finish the show

I've been watching YuYu Hakusho since it first aired on Cartoon Network in 2002. I think I'm intentionally prolonging it for the sake of it at this point. I do really love the series when I'm in the mood to watch it. I just find other shows to occupy my time and that either halts my progress or prevents me from watching it at all.
