Seen many console game menus have shops and other nonsense. But then again when I pop in an older games besides none of that I know the the ideas that never moved forward and are tons of treasures for me to uncover. Less standardisation/sequels that have been around a decade I will never pick up and more to dive into. Tons of clones to pick up too sure.
I prefer progress/a good campaign but especially with some games (like GT Sport allowing to remove the PS Store option entirely as a button in menus was hilarious) but the fact AAA games give you things for each step you take is baffeling while mobile games maybe do the same but otherwise want to make you go through hoops to do things. if a game is hard I learn it same way I learn how a control works, I find giving things away or something looking fancy to be a waste of my time. But I care for gameplay so my mindset is very particular and clearly pay to win goes out the window in my mind for even downloading or installing it.
Never played any. I know one when I see one but I've been buying a few PS Vitas, a 3DS and Switch to cover my handheld needs or expanding my DS/PSP libraries. But as a collector I'm the minority of course. Even Gacha I had to research as had no clue that's how much I give no cares about cosmetics, games with boosters/not allow me to play a game and not, I buy a product and enjoy it (besides being a physical collector and being the audience that's more the target audience for mobile games but I've never cared for them. Console is where it is for me. Sure I have seen people say they play Shadowverse (which again I had to look up) and handhelds but even then even though I see the mobile game ads I just ignore them).
That or I treat mobile games (even if not the same so uninteresting to me like arcade games but as someone willing to give arcade games a go, mobile games just don't have any appeal to me. I want something lasting 1+ hour not as boring for 5 minutes. Sure not all games are casual and many have depth or that length of appeal but to me they still don't fit the structure I'm in for/aren't as good as buttons, I hate touch screens (meaning I'd probably prefer an old phone or a Blackberry if those still have keypads) and no using a controller bluetoothed or using a controller grip is not going to convince me unless it's for Emu. I'll take buttons attached to the device any day the same way I'll use a keyboard and mouse over my Tablet screen unless for something specific. Buttons > Touchscreens for me).
My phone is a music player/emu device nothing more. I've played flash web browser games and got my 'mobile' fix a decade a go, then as many of them were/are the same developers besides the obvious phone start ups/previous console developers.
I used a Windows Phone (I know how rare) to get my mobile fix but never spent anything (then again don't think there was the types many go for even on there so that's something XD), with Android even if bigger ecosystem and not dead I'm being particular about what I need and don't. If I have less than 10 for my needs of a portable computer and not a handheld replacement then sure.
