Man that guy looks charming and I'm very looking forward to this because I love seeing some clown action going on.

Now I'm convinced Kaitou Queen is a really effeminate guy, he's quite the charmer though.

MC is voiced by Takarazuka actress, you know, the theatre where females play all roles. Kageki Shoujo's source of inspiration.

In this case, it would be logical if the MC was played by an androgynous man. Because when androgynous male characters are voiced by an androgynous female VA it sounds more like an attempt to hide the female character.

I don't think that VA needs to be same sex/gender/race/ethnicity like character he/she is playing. Burgerland went full retard with this recently.

I don't think it works when VA's choice was literally related to the character's androgyny. And as I said above, this regularly causes controversy or even conflict about the gender of the character. For example, in Sengoku Basara, it even became a meme, although the character was originally fully implied as a man.

I think only voice matters when it's voice acting. Identity politics cancer in USA ruins everything.

Once again, nobody is talking about identity. Forget about it. It's only about the fact that in this case the female voice confuses the audience and makes it mistakenly perceive male characters as potentially female. It's okay when you initially know the gender of the character. But when they should be perceived as androgynous males, the audience often gets the idea wrong.
