Yeah I started with part 1. My friend told me that I should watch JoJo’s so I started in chronological order with part 1. It was actually pretty cool because somehow I had not been spoiled at all with part 1, I had no idea who Jonathan or even who Dio was, so part 1 actually was a very unique experience for me, because I usually know who the characters of big anime are before watching them, but for JoJo I had no idea what kind of impact Dio would have on the series.

I started with part 1, but had to drop it after like 7 episodes. I eventually came back a few weeks later, and once I finished part 1 I was hooked on the rest.

I've never understood why anybody would skip parts 1 and 2, like this is just crazy to me. Also somebody said they forced themselves through part 1 ??? What's wrong with people i enjoyed every second of the entire series and i am super excited for part 6.

I started with the first episode of Part 1 then watched Part onward because my brother said that Part 1 was like horror. I watched Part 1 after finishing Part 4 then watched Part 5. Part 1 was not really scary at all so I do not know what that was about.

I'll never understand the logic behind part skipping. It isn't difficult to just watch it all from the beginning. Plus, every part is good (obviously some better than others) so you're really just doing yourself a disservice if you skip.

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Well it's cause of stand arrow they were introduced in part 4 and further explored in part 5.
It was the broken part of the arrow inside the pendant that awakened her stand

I have a friend who used to hate JoJo. Her friend who is a massive JoJo fan sat down with her and tried to give her an honest to at the show, starting of course from Part 1. She couldn't get through all of Part 1 because she hated it so much. So the friend decided to just tell her what happens and then got her to watch Part 2 thinking she'd like it more.

And it worked. She still hates Part 1 but Part 2 became her favorite and she's loved every JoJo part ever since.

Long story short: Some people don't like Part 1 and while that's unfortunate because Part 1 is honestly a lot of fun, it's worth at least trying to follow the story as chronologically as possible. You're doing yourself a disservice by skipping entire parts.
