I totally agree! I ended up buying the manga just to finish off Bloom... I have Whisper in my " plan to watch" list and have it at the top. I like to binge, so I wait for them to be completed lol. Looking forward to it!

Hey. I saw your post about Another and thought it would be easier to comment here. Another is an interesting show. I personally enjoyed it but I guess it depends on what you want from it. Another is essentially the anime version of a B horror movie, it has a cheesy plot it takes very seriously, over the top violence with weird deaths and overall it’s a fun time. If you go in with the expectation that’s it’s over the top and kinda cheesy rather then a really well written horror series then you’ll probably enjoy it.

Usually I would wait one week after the season starts to find top tier content hidden beneath the many average animes that are coming out

The aforementioned Macross, the original Yu Gi Oh, and a kids show called Kiruminzoo. I also just finished rereading Blame!, so that was fantastic. Are the two manga on you profile the only ones you read, and what ones do you plan on reading?

I wish I did. Frankly, the reason I've been trying to watch old anime recently is because I hardly watched any before. I can tell you most people would recommend Yu Yu Hakushou and Evangellion, but I didn't personally think they were masterpieces.

Actually, just recently I watched a show called Outlaw Star. It's a space western with really cool background and spaceship designs. It has an overarching plot, but some of the episodes are single episode stories. It also has pretty fun characters and spaceship designs. Ever since I finished it, I've been thinking that if it ever got a remake with two or three times as many episodes and more exploration of world, it would probably be one of my favorite shows.

If you're fine with romance and you like sci-fi, Nadia is a pretty good show, though there is a chunk of ten episodes in the middle you should skip. Those episodes are pretty much useless to the plot and aren't very good. The rest of the show is pretty good. In my opinion, if you want a show similar to Nadia but don't like a lot of the things wrong with it, watch Eureka Seven. It's a masterpiece.
