"Manga >>> anime". These words makes me wonder why some of the manga readers stated that. Let's see what anime do to the source =

- Artstyle
The character art style is the combination of the old art style (earliest chapters) and the new one (current chapters). Other than that, they keep bubble box where many have complaints about this. What I think about this is reasonable. Because, earliest chapters have many bubble boxes. That's why, from the artstyle, I think they are really faithful to the source so far. It's ok if you think they are too faithful to the source.

- Story
Until now (episode 5), they still faithful to the source. For the skipped chapters, they only skipped 2 so far (chapter 15 and 29), which is not affecting the story. Some thing we knew so far =
1. when there is one or more chapter skipped, there is a possibility it will adapted into later episode if the chapters are important (example of this is they skipped chapter 21 and 22 when adapting episode 4 and they include both chapters on episode 5)
2. Each episode adapt average 6 - 8 chapters, which is make some debate if studio rushing adaptation, just like other studio did dirty on some adaptation (example = Tokyo Ghoul:re). Actually, they are not. Why? Because, number of pages in each chapter is inconsistent, where some chapter only has two page and some chapter has more than 10 pages.
3. Related to point #2, the story isn't changed at all. Yes, they moved chapter 21 and 22 to episode 5. What changed from the manga is the timeline. Both 21 and 22 on manga is happened on winter. On anime, it happened on summer, which not affecting the story at all since there aren't any effect on previous and next episodes.

- Casting choices
One word, "PERFECT". You can't hate this anime after hearing each character speaks. They literally chooses best seiyuu to voices each character, especially Kikuko Inoue voicing Komi Shuuko.

Based on these points, I could say they really faithful to the source and makes the anime has one (or more) value that makes it better than manga.

Since this is my opinion, I open the argument and try to understand your opinion, especially those who says that manga is better than anime.

Like I said on first sentence, "Those words (the title) makes me wonder why some of the manga readers stated that.", I didn't say that manga is better although I, myself, is also a manga reader. I'm just wondering why some manga reader saying that. Not just on this anime.

Definitely not gonna read all that but generally the source material is better than adaptations in any form of media.

Not always true, but since I'll never read this manga, I'm gonna enjoy the anime and fans of Komi should embrace that.

i do not tolerate komi cant communicate slander here. get off.

Nah seriously, I read about 60 chapters 6 months ago...the main charecter is not very interesting, komi doesn't speak, she doesn't even have any monologues so I really didn't care about her "problems". All the side charecters are super annoying and everyone seems to worship her which is very inconsistent...sometimes totally lusting over her and sometimes totally ignoring her.
With all that said...I am finally getting off, have a nice day.

Tadano isn't interesting? I think you have your own taste.
Komi doesn't speak? Her ability to communicate is still not too bad, but she could communicate better on future chapters if you wanted to continue.
All side characters are annoying? Based on how many chapter you've been read, I agree. But, you could see some good characters if you wanted to continue reading. There will be more of them that acknowledge Komi as normal human.

actually you see...when I read the premise I didn't realise it's going to be a comedy, and the first chapter was fairly serious...I never went in expecting a comedy, which might be partly why I didn't enjoy the series.

Source material readers/gamers always complain about something.

The anime is a great adaptation.

TBH if it wasnt that good with how simple the manga is then I would question the life choices of anyone in the staff.

I like both, but I just enjoy the manga more
It's not only about the artstyle, story and casting when we judge this, it's just a preference to the vibes the manga gives

Bro isn't that like the whole point of the show, that's like asking a show to drop its style. Imagine watching one punch man and everybody knows his power. Like I get that YOU don't like it, but many others do.

Anime is as bad as manga has become.
It mostly uses the art of the later chapters (which has become way worse), and all the good chapters of the manga,(which reached its peak on the chapter 6) are adapted in the first episodes.

The anime is good, the visual is gorgeous, the soundtrack/OST is toptier, the animation is above average, all exceed the source material/manga. I'm surprise some manga readers are saying that the Manga is better. Better appreciate this rather than some dumpster fire adaption like Berserk, AOT Final Season, Promise Neverland S2, etc. But I guess people can never be satisfied.

Gotta spesific with that "Berserk" since there are 2 version of Berserk. For me, the good one is made by OLM.

Manga readers tend to say that because a lot of anime adaptations in past have been mediocre and skipped a lot of details it's only in recent times that the trends are changing because anime now has it's own market and the animes are just not only been produced to just boost manga sales majority of anime adaptations these days are great because they are been made with an idea to create a whole francise out of the set series and not just one off season for manga sales and merch

Well, at least I can say the first episode is the masterpiece OVA. Everything afterwards has been hurting my d***, especially in this No Nut November.

In the long run besides the first episode, this series just does not work as an anime in my opinion, that's why I was having questions about this despite Ayumu Watanabe and OLM directing this and me liking the duo for what they did with Major 2nd Season 2 in 2019. It looks good now but the medium feels off here for sure. Although it's not like I like the manga either, it just feels better there with its format and the lengths of chapters/segments. Kaguya-sama having standard chapter lengths and creative direction beyond just following the material made the anime stand out as something potentially special to audiences without any form of awkwardness, and can be great in its consumption in either medium. This one doesn't feel as smooth with its transition.
