I wish there was a 3.5/5.

Vash was acting really weird in this ep and Meryl needs to stop crying already, jeez! She is lovesick.>.<
Numbuh 3, you've got to get off the couch, you cannot sit in that tree house, girl you like Rainbow Monkeys so grab your little shit and then swing!

Hand tracks be tracking me to different doorways. In a maze, and I don't know what to do. Guaranteed though, Ima find the emeralds.

Pretty cool episode; a lot happened. The hedgehog guy was interesting but didn't get a lot of screen time. Wolfwood was really noir when he shot the samurai guy who had an amazing line about a "Christian cult" when Vash blew a hole in the moon with his weird gun. Meryl was super lovey-dovey. The next episode seems like it will reveal a lot.

We also get to see Meryl getting some development finally. Now we know something at least about Vash's dark past, but I feel like we need to know more. Why is Legato doing this? I hope the Anime answers it.

Legato's group is going after Vash still, damn. Well, seems like Wolfwood was actually a part of Legato's group, all along, no wonder he was so skilled at guns. Weird episode, weird hand transformation...hole in the moon, giant explosion...goddamn so much stuff. Also someone said "on this planet" WHAT THE HELL they're not living on Earth or were left to stay on Earth instead of leaving?!

This is really turning into a supernatural show with that guy being able to control others with telepathy.

People are dying left and right and even though the setting is the type of place where it's as if the world is out to get you with life-threatening problems all over along with the fact that bounty-hunting's far from the safest profession out there, it's unfortunate that Vash has to so helplessly witness all the blatant disregard for life around him before he's even able to make a move. His absurdly destructive arm-cannon obliterating the entire city of Augusta and carving a hole into the moon certainly didn't help him feel better about things. Depriving thousands of their homes and livelihoods must be unbearable enough already so I can't imagine how bad things would've ended up if he wasn't able to evacuate the citizens beforehand.

I felt sad seeing Meryl wanting to pursue Vash and fulfill her duty no matter what because the dangerous circumstances that come with doing that makes things a lot more complicated than usual. Bernadelli Insurance just giving up on the Humanoid Typhoon altogether was the final nail in the coffin too... I'm actually kinda looking forward to Derringer Meryl and Stun Gun Milly turning into outlaws so they can look for Vash since things between them just can't end there now that they've both become attached to him in their own adorable ways.

It's interesting and unusual to see Wolfwood acting more like a vigilante despite him being a priest while Vash abhors killing no matter who ends up being on the receiving end despite being the most infamous outlaw out there.

Man this episode was epic and it was cool that we got to see old characters from previous episodes react to the events of this episode. It really establishes the gravity of the situation.

at first i thought the anime going in action way but then... that happened.

damn it, the anime keeps surprising me every time.

some of my suspicions of vash's identity were little of, but i think it's still part of it.

It's getting worse, it's slowly turning into a generic shounen villain group fighting, the four recent villains now had vague goals and reasons why they serve Legato.
On the bright side, we have a slight story development with Meryl.

I thought this show would be more of a villain of the day deal, so I'm extremely happy seeing story progression like this! what a good ep

Oh Meryl isn't having any of it she's going to follow him anyway. I was hoping so as I love those gals. I also don't think she's in love with him, she just deeply cares about him after seeing what a good person he is and how many people he has helped.

Legato "on his home ground," Augusta. It's great writing how naturally this story is unfolding. The Blade is pretty cool. Was he being metaphorical when he said they're all demons?
The Blade is having spiritual transcendence while Vash's demon or alien tech arm reaps destruction nuclear bomb style. In addition, blasting a hole right into the moon!

Nice to see Wolfwood again. I'm betting he's the 'Chapel' Legato said was missing from the group.

Still pretty funny how it just goes back into insurance and the bureaucracy of that.

Big reveal regarding Vash and it's always great to have Nicholas D Wolfwood back in the fray. Great episode and one of the best of the series at this point.

Wow, very interesting. I haven't watched this anime for a little while so I'm slightly confused, however, I hope there's more explanation in the future for his arm and the town. (unless its already been said and I've forgotten)

God Vash wa able to blow a single hole into the moon? How badass can you get. What an epic episode for me personally. The spiky guy I feel didn't really get that much screentime in terms of the episode I think the samurai dude pretty much overshadowed him. And apparently Wolfwood is actually in league with Legato there, I really thought Vash had an ally there but evidently not. Meryl really has become so attached to Vash hasn't she? I wonder if she along with Millie will rebel against the company that hires them and seek out Vash in the next couple of episodes. Only time will tell with that one. Otherwise like I said it was an epic episode for me.

I just cannot feel anything for Milly and Meryl. They're often extremely stereotypically written 90s anime women and even in what was supposed to be a touching climax to the episode they can't help but pull that "You made a lady cry, Vash! I'll never forgive you!" nonsense that always was and always will be incredibly stupid and lame. And like, Vash is nice and all but I don't think them being so invested in following him around is really earned. Making it their job, even if it was a very weak fig leaf that is barely referenced after the first few episodes, worked well enough but Meryl is really gonna cry about being told to stop after all the disasters that they went through? She doesn't even know anything about him other than that he's actually not evil. How is that enough motivation to want to jump into a fucking nuclear explosion because that's where he probably is?
