It should have worked... Try another browser. Try another PC. Send a screenshot of the screen you see when you open that website |

@hacker09 I'm not the only one who's unable to access the website, just to be clear. I want to find a solution just so that people can continue using that website. I've tried everything on the article except for the 10th one because I'm not the site owner. I used Tor & Microsoft Edge, didn't work. I tried it on my smartphone, my parents', it didn't work either.

@-Haoto- Then the problem is with the ssl invalid encryption, it's a webmaster problem, you and the website users have to contact the website and tell them the problem you are having so they can fix it. I still can't see your screen... the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be sheet.host, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because ... stopped the connection before any data was exchanged. You cannot visit sheet.host right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later. This is the message I get when I try to access it The problem is with the website itself, as I said the https certificate is invalid, what means that that website owner either forgot to renew the https license or don't have money to do it (it's probably very cheap) or won't renew it anymore To fix that Create a new shortcut to your browser "C:\Programs\chrome.exe" --ignore-certificate-errors Remember to add the bolded text after the quotes "" Then you can access the website! *You could also try enabling this chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure but on my end I don't think it worked, but the first option I said worked.

I don't think there is anything you can do if the internet prevents you from accessing it. Basically, if there is no problem on your end, then like @hacker09 said, it's a server-end issue and if you don't have access to the server, there is nothing you can do. Either the cert used is not recognized, or there is a real security risk. It may even be possible that the developers used a self-signed ssl cert that is usually only for developments... Some web hosting domains provide these ssl certs for free if that site is not utilizing any payments. Edit: It looks like the picture in the above post shows that it has expired. Some links here: https://technicalwall.com/blogging/free-ssl-certificate/ https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/learning/ssl/what-is-an-ssl-certificate/ https://betterprogramming.pub/trusted-self-signed-certificate-and-local-domains-for-testing-7c6e6e3f9548 https://www.howtogeek.com/107415/it-how-to-create-a-self-signed-security-ssl-certificate-and-deploy-it-to-client-machines/

@IceySongstress Their certificate was issued by a company named R3, (that I've never heard of...) Under normal circumstances, certificates issued by Let's Encrypt will come from “R3”, an RSA intermediate. Yeah, I've heard of Let's Encrypt before hahaha. Actually there are a few things he can do, and one of them worked for me, I was able to access that website. The problem is basically that now the website only works with http since the https certificate expired, but the problem is that new browsers force https and block http connections because they are insecure, so all @-Haoto- has to do is disable that browser security feature as I said, then @-Haoto- will be able to access the website like I was.

Congrats! YOU'VE successfully allowed me to hack you! (joking haha) As I said earlier... There are no risks... At least there are no risks if you are at your home internet connection,or if the website doesn't require a login. Just don't use a random wifi to login to your account and you are fine! You do have to worry about other websites! http websites allows anyone to perform Man-in-the-middle attacks, Man-in-the-middle attacks gives the hacker: The ability to read and modify sensitive data (personally-identifying information, credentials, payment instruments, and so on). The ability to read and modify (user) input(s) ... Huge and complex explanation below! 4.1. Threat Models Granting permissions to unauthenticated origins is, in the presence of a network attacker, equivalent to granting the permissions to any origin. The state of the Internet is such that we must indeed assume that a network attacker is present. Generally, network attackers fall into 2 classes: passive and active. 4.1.1. Passive Network Attacker A "Passive Network Attacker" is a party who is able to observe traffic flows but who lacks the ability or chooses not to modify traffic at the layers which this specification is concerned with. Surveillance of networks in this manner "subverts the intent of communicating parties without the agreement of these parties" and one "cannot defend against the most nefarious actors while allowing monitoring by other actors no matter how benevolent some might consider them to be." [RFC7258] Therefore, the algorithms defined in this document require mechanisms that provide for the privacy of data at the application layer, not simply integrity. 4.1.2. Active Network Attacker An "Active Network Attacker" has all the capabilities of a "Passive Network Attacker" and is additionally able to modify, block or replay any data transiting the network. These capabilities are available to potential adversaries at many levels of capability, from compromised devices offering or simply participating in public wireless networks, to Internet Service Providers indirectly introducing security and privacy vulnerabilities while manipulating traffic for financial gain ([VERIZON] and [COMCAST] are recent examples), to parties with direct intent to compromise security or privacy who are able to target individual users, organizations or even entire populations. 4.3. Risks associated with non-secure contexts Certain web platform features that have a distinct impact on a user’s security or privacy should be available for use only in secure contexts in order to defend against the threats above. Features available in non-secure contexts risk exposing these capabilities to network attackers: The ability to read and modify sensitive data (personally-identifying information, credentials, payment instruments, and so on). [CREDENTIAL-MANAGEMENT-1] is an example of an API that handles sensitive data. The ability to read and modify input from sensors on a user’s device (camera, microphone, and GPS being particularly noteworthy, but certainly including less obviously dangerous sensors like the accelerometer). [GEOLOCATION-API] and [MEDIACAPTURE-STREAMS] are historical examples of features that use sensor input. The ability to access information about other devices to which a user has access. [DISCOVERY-API] and [WEB-BLUETOOTH] are good examples. The ability to track users using temporary or persistent identifiers, including identifiers which reset themselves after some period of time (e.g. window.sessionStorage), identifiers the user can manually reset (e.g. [ENCRYPTED-MEDIA], Cookies [RFC6265], and [IndexedDB]), as well as identifying hardware features the user can’t easily reset. The ability to introduce some state for an origin which persists across browsing sessions. [SERVICE-WORKERS] is a great example. The ability to manipulate a user agent’s native UI in some way which removes, obscures, or manipulates details relevant to a user’s understanding of their context. [FULLSCREEN] is a good example. The ability to introduce some functionality for which user permission will be required. SOURCE: https://w3c.github.io/webappsec-secure-contexts/

No It means people that uses the website would have less security and privacy and would have to do the things I told you to keep being able to access the website. Accessing http websites tend to get harder and harder till one day it will be impossible. Certificates usually last for at least 1/2 years, so renewing it wouldn't be really "frequent" I would say.

Nobody access http websites nowadays. http websites basically doesn't exist anymore. Chrome and chromium browsers + Firefox want's to kill it and make users stop using and loading http websites, they are always making it harder and harder to open these http websites. http is obsolete, https isn't obsolete. I doubt servers will shut down http websites, they will still be there, but new browsers won't let you open it. This is the case you are having now... If the website was archived on archive.org, yes there will be archives. archive.org already archive cds books games and a bunch of stuff, since it's very likely that one day anything we know now will be obsolete and not used anymore so archive.org always goes like crazy achieving anything for posterity, but till this day comes you and I will have died anyways. Archives depends all on archive.org, users of the website and the own website owner, I can't say that there will be no gaming emulations websites in the future, since archive.org or a high tech dev might be automating a program to achieve/save gaming emulations for example, then when/if the famous emulator website goes down this mysterious dev could show up and open a new website online containing everything the old website had. It's kinda of like what happens with the pirate bay every time, goes down, then goes up again with a different name or goes up by a different random internet user. When one the pirate bay website goes down, 10 goes up and 5 of these 10 probably goes up because of malicious users/devs so these 5 websites just share viruses for example, in the end what I mean is that the pirate bay will never end even though the police continues to dumbly close 1 the pirate bay website, they usually will just end up with more work since 10 new the pirate bay websites goes up after that. The same might happen with that music sharing website you like, why you don't switch to torrent, amazon/apple music, soundcloud, spotify or deezer?

@hacker09 I don't switch to other services because my work will most likely be copyright claimed or takendown for some songs. In my opinion-- no, quite a lot of people's opinion actually, think that music arrangement copyright laws are obsolete. While I'm not debating this subject on this thread, it has to be noted that copyright law in general needs to be revised. Indie or independent creators have no leverage over big companies. That causes bias. Anyway, I can't use other websites when they're only for audio files and not other music files like MIDI, XML, and other formats that are for others to download. I'll migrate to MuseScore because they're promising. Sheethost is now back online, but I can't rely on a single website too much.
