| basically there are two options 1) UBW (2014) -> Heaven's Feel -> Zero the intended order. Zero is a prequel, but there are some parts of stay night (especially HF) which are built on the fact that the viewer doesn't know something 2) Zero -> UBW -> HF chronological-ish order. I don't like the idea of it, as it spoils a lot of the main series. On the other hand if you watched enough of Zero to know a certain fact about Sakura (if you don't know who that is, that's good), feel free to watch in this order, it's too late anyway. Fate 2006 should be watched before UBW in both cases, but the adaptation is so shit it isn't worth it. Watch UBW, HF and Zero, then decide if you want to watch it. Main heroine there is Saber |

| As a fate fanboy I would recommend watching Unlimited blade works first as think its more beginner friendly than zero. I watched zero first and my enjoyment wasnt as big as it should Because I was confused but in ubw there is more action and explains what happens a lot more. Zero is much more dialogue heavy than ubw |

| I'd reccomend starting from Stay night (2006) although it's mid it's a good introduction to the series but u can skip it without much consequences and instead start from either ubw or zero and after u watched both of them u can watch heaven's feel |

A lot of people suggest to skip it, but it's still the best way to get into the franchise (without reading the Visual Novel) thanks to the exposition. It's also the only serie that focus on Saber, and have Kenji Kawai's OSTs. (OST Sample) Watching the Kara no Kyoukai movies can help to understand the ending of Heaven's Feel III. Even if you don't want to read the Visual Novel, i still recommend to read the following chapters : Last Episode (Epilogue of 2006) There is also a Manga Adaptation of it, but it spoil Unlimited Blade Works. Sparks Liner High (Shirô VS Saber Alter Fight, Bad Ending of Heaven's Feel) When It's Spring/Cherry Blossom's Dream. ("Normal End", Alternative Ending of Heaven's Feel) Fate/Zero is considered by many as the best serie of the entire franchise, but being a prequel, it expect you to be already familiar with the lore and to know the outcome of it. You can watch it first, but the info dump can be rough, the serie will spoil most twists of Stay Nights, and the general tone is not the same as the rest of the franchise. (The author of Zero, Gen Urobuchi himself suggest to watch it in last) If you want to watch the minimal thing of Fate , you should watch UBW and stop there. If you want to watch the short cut , Zero > UBW > HF But if you want to really watch the Serie , you should definetely watch the 1st order listed on top , or read the Visual Novel. (I doubt you'll do , but just in case...) |

For one, Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night are 2 different shows, covering 2 different instalments in the series. Now, while there's no "main series," when considering the Nasuverse as a whole, the closest thing to one, being the original and most prominent continuity, is Fate/stay night, and its immediate successor, Fate/hollow ataraxia. If you want a "full show and an ending," those are the ones you need to read. Not watch, read. As Visual Novels. Nothing else, no other "watch order," can be anywhere close to correct if it doesn't tell you to read these 2 Visual Novels. To recap:
