| Happosai is the root of all evil in this show XD Ranma acts like he needs to become male in order to beat this guy, but he ends up beating him in female form anyway. |

| didn't even finish the current rewatch of this episode but i laughed hard at those 4th wall subtitles commenting Ryoga's sense of direction and Mousse's eyesight |

| Hope Pantyhose Taro takes Happosai and never returns him. The show's better off without him. The clothes after detransformation are pretty inconsistent throughout the series. For some reason, Shampoo transformed back without any clothes but Mousse and Ryoga are completely fine? I remember at the of the show Genma would still have his shirt and glasses on after turning into a panda and also Ryoga would leave his clothes after turning into the pig. |
| So what Happosai did was something dumb after all, tho I do kinda like that it was related to never getting this new guy’s name until now, this old clown named him Pantyhose Taro lol, kinda funny I guess but of course it’s something like this, and my first thought was he could just change his name, but Ranma actually brought that up and apparently he can’t because of his Chinese village’s customs, alright I can see why he’d be pissed now, I mean he could go by a nickname instead but then this arc wouldn’t have happened. It is interesting tho that Taro uses pantyhose because of his namesake, you’d think he would want to separate himself from the name as much as possible but he kinda owns it like this lol, it’s a fun characteristic tho. And this episode was definitely better than the first, the water fortress was pretty unique as was Ranma’s fight with Pantyhose Taro, I liked that we got quite a bit of it in his human form before he went to the chimera form upon Ranma getting the upper hand. It was also cool to see that due to Shampoo wanting revenge, both her and Mousse put their original plans aside to fight Taro, I really liked seeing the whole gang fight together, also Shampoo being almost naked was a nice touch lol. And it’s fitting that Ranma defeated Taro with his own pantyhose, that was pretty clever ngl, and now Taro has went off into the sunset with Happosai to get a new name, he probably won’t get a better name tho lol, and as nice as it would be for Taro to take Happosai for good, he’ll probably be back next week lol. This episode saved this arc a bit for me, it was fun, now I’m kinda hoping we see it in the remake. |
