| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Man, fuck this. Why is Akutami sensei always killing the hotties. Like first Junpei's MILF mom and now Mai.. Also, was Maki not disfigured enough already? It feels like sensei wants to injure her to a point where she won't even be able to fight anymore like he did to Todo (if Todo is indeed not able to use Boogie Woogie anymore). Honestly, dunno why I should bother trying to remember all the new characters when sensei just kills them off right away. Kinda helpful now that I think about it considering that they're starting to seem even worse than Naoya and that's something I didn't even think possible. I started to like this arc a bit more with the previous developments but now with Yaga dying etc it's starting to fall off me again. Not a fan of the way sensei does exposition and we've been getting a lot of it recently but I'm still really looking forward to what his intentions and plans for this arc are. Just hope it delivers. |

| was it just me or was there a panel where Maki had her right eye opened >_> anyway, I didn't like Mai that much so I'm pretty fine with this development, I think it's an interesting twist though not a very surprising one. Maki becoming like a reincarnation of Toji and killing that crusty old man like that was very satisfying tbh |

| Mai sacrifices herself to save Maki and at the same time takes all of the curse energy that Maki had.. when Gege said Maki had the potential of becoming on the level of Toji he wasnt lying. Kill Naoya!!! This panel gave me legit goosebumps and made me scream in hype. Maki giving me Guts vibes with that right eye injury. |

| One of the best chapters yet... Maki solidified her position as one of my favorite characters in the series. Shibuya already scarred her on an emotional level just as much as a physical one, I can't wait to see the next part of her story Also, interesting note: Mai took every last bit of cursed energy Maki had (since she had "the cursed energy of a normal human being") so that her heavenly restriciton would now match Toji's perfect one. |
| Nooooo... Mai... Maaan, just like what happened with zero and his brother in Vampire Knight. Twins are a bad omen and in the end one had to die so the other could be whole again. The price was heavy but Maki is back to action and even stronger, I'm really looking forward to the next chapter |

| Damn this chapter was sad but hey at least Mai died a hero's death for her sister. "Please destroy everything and I mean everything big sis" followed by the godly panel of Toji and Maki sent chills down my spine. Honestly one of my favorite chapters of the whole jjk manga. |

| Maki Zenin: Origin Can't wait for the next chapter. This was very beautiful. Mai giving Maki more motivation to destroy this three clan system is poetic. Maki wanted to be head, but Mai’s dying wish is for the clan oligarchy not to exist anymore & now Maki has the power to do this because of her sister’s selfless sacrifice. |

| Holy shit, fantastic chapter, but fuck man, RIP Mai. Let's fucking go Maki, fuck up the Zen'in clan, do it for Mai! Since twins are treated parts of the same whole, Maki technically had cursed energy, but it was with Mai, now that Mai's gone and their cursed energy gone along with her, Maki's heavenly restriction is probably on par with Toji now and maybe she even has the chance to completely surpass him, that panel with Ogi shitting his pants was beautiful. And isn't that Toji's sword that Mai left behind, let's go, looking forward to Maki destroying everything, especially Naoya's bitchass. |
