This show has a masterful way of weaving its ED into the end of its episodes. Linaria is such a beautiful song, I can't get it out of my head, and every time I hear it start at the end of each episode it feels like such an emotional rush.

Some of the episodes, it weaves in extra dialogue (or monologue) over the intro. Sometimes it marks an abrupt occurrence like in this episode.

Gah, love it.

The episode flew by. Not enough Tamaru, to be honest.

Hanakana as Arriety is probably the only reason I am rooting for her. Can't get enough of her voice.

Anyways, another weak episode with plenty of ass-pull "coincidences". Seems like the author couldn't be bothered to come up with imaginative ways to create the ongoing shallow drama.

And look who's talking? The one who's acting like she/he's been 'forced' to watch this show you didn't like. You are only seeing the negative parts and hyping them and taking them way too seriously. No one pointed out this scene was funny except You. The scenes that we found hilarious were the encounters in this episode. See the comments. And if you're only going to watch it with a super serious critical eye then I suggest you stop watching. You would never like it. Never. Or perhaps you love to watch shows you don't like and comment on it. You wouldn't change the opinions of ones liking it. It's not creepy for us.

It's getting clear that Ichika likes Ryo too. If Ichika seriously wanted him out of her life, she would have seriously told his sister to make sure he doesn't call or meet her ever again. She would have never picked his calls either. So no, Ryo is not forcing himself on her. Yes, in the beginning he was creepy, I admit that. Ichika even thought he was messing with her but he's not. Things have changed. They have gotten to know about each other and Ichika pretty much knows how Ryo. And about the age gap.. It's not like Ryo is an old man. Ichika will turn 18 too which is an legal adult age. Plus they haven't done anything se*ual. Seriously go over and watch something you like instead.

Obviously he is. Isn't that the whole premise of the show? Check the title of the anime lol

Watch episode 8 where the girl is still literally telling YOU (audience) that the male MC is indeed pursuing a one-sided relationship and doesn't care about her feeelings ignoring her requests to stop. This is obvious to anyone paying attention, but for those in denial, I guess it helps when the characters themselves explicitly say so (since episode 1 the sister herself literally says the dude is "crap", but apparently some people can't get the hint).

Anyway, please don't waste energy telling others what they should or shouldn't watch.

If you enjoy the show, that's alright, I guess there's an audience for this kind of thing. But likewise, don't be mad just because you see critical opinions of the show. This is an anime forum, you will see different opinions all the time.

Also, this is episode discussion thread, so let's stay on topic.

This is just proof of how seriously are you taking this show. It's a romcom and yes I know the title. At first she is reluctant but eventually she agrees to it. She buys him a Christmas present for everything he has done. She wouldn't have if all she felt was disgust. He had taken care of her and got her personalized notes to pass for the test. He often has a weird way of expressing himself. Both his sister and Ichika know that. It's part of his personality but that is part of his imperfection. That doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad person despite some weird ways to pursue her (unless he's forcing himself in that way which I talked about). You know how they show Tsundere ppl. They speak crap but they don't mean it. Although in real life, it would be much more problematic but since this is anime and it's common, ppl don't take that seriously. It's meant for 'comedy' just like this one which you are clearly not getting. It's not meant to be looked upon critically. One more example I've seen is how they show girls hitting guys in a funny way. Now that wouldn't be funny at all if happened in real life. That's why I say you're taking this way too seriously

Ofc it's upto u what you watch and don't watch but you clearly have a distaste for this anime then why are you wasting your time watching it?

To sum up, Ryo and Ichika are warming up despite the creepy beginning. Now they are sort of friends with Ryo feeling a lot more than Ichika ofc. Ofc there will be ups and down. Not everything will be picture perfect. We often see Ichika being insecure because of his age and experience. I find that realistic.

If you like the story of a dude that:
- gets obsessed over a school girl that called him "creep"
- pursue a girl and ignore her requests to stop
- can assault a woman like it's nothing on a public place
- is possesive and acts in a threatening way towards a girl's friend just because they were talking
- has people to get info about the girl's whereabouts/who she was talking to/etc even when she's on a trip
- his own friend is afraid to be seen hanging out with the girl

... then good for you and have fun with the anime.

Hmmm.... is it just me or Ryo has essentially a Dark Triad personality ?.

I mean, his narcissism is prevalent not only in the way he dresses but also in the way he feels entitled toward women, specially Ichika. His psychopathy is evident in how he ignores Ichika's request to stop sending her gifts and flowers and his threats towards Tamaru. Finally, his machiavellism is evident in his contants schemes to draw Ichika into a date, like gathering intel from Rio and coercing Ichika into watching a movie.

He clearly seems to score pretty high in all three personality traits imho.

Valentine's day is gonna be bloody xD Also that was some nice talk between Ichika and Masuda, it's sad to hear that Ryou got a chocolate full of hair (uh that's disgusting) during valentine's day

I agree I love her! Honestly I think she is probably better suited for him. age doesn't mean so much when you're both older but nobody is who they were at 16 so I really think Ryou should look somewhere else. However, that my friend is a very unpopular opinion

On one side I feel bad for Ichika who is basically forced through fear into buying a Valentine's present for Ryo, but on the other side she could've cut things off if she really wanted nothing to do with him.
