I remember a scene in Girl's Last Tour where a plane was flying and then fell apart in midair. The track that was playing sounded like No Surprises from Radiohead and made me cry quite a lot even though no one died.

I do sometimes when a long anime is ending, or just an anime that I liked is ending.

In this world shrouded in darkness, I learned there was someone who’d been struggling along with me. That alone is enough.

I cry a lot. I'm extremely emotional. Chihayafuru specifically has made me cry many times because of how much I felt Taichi's pain.

The only time I cried in Your Lie in April was when Kousei's rivals were asking what's wrong before his final performance

A decent number of times, one example would be in Kobato when the big plot reveal happened.

Actually, I'm sure I have gotten more emotional over non-death moments in total, a few I can think of are:

Ending of Wolf Children
Almost every other episode Violet Evergarden+ final movie

I definitely did at the last episode of Violet Evergarden. That's the first instance that comes to mind. I also cried at the "genuinely good person" scene of Mob Psycho.

How could I not? Koe no Katachi's ending is literally perfect.

Bonus scenes that made me tear up:

Teared up more precisely.

When smol Deku broke down in front of his computer to his mom asking if he could be a hero too.

Mob Psycho. Mob knowing his master was a phony all along.

The Kumoh brothers bond in laughing under the clouds is unrivalled so far as sibling bonds in anime go. The scene where the brothers hug and cry before Tenka's execution got me.

Akatsuki no Yona. Zeno's past.

Orange. Suwa talking Kakeru out of suicide and Suwa giving up his future with Naho.

Fruits Basket. When Kyo's true form was revealed and then Tohru went home with him being carried by her in his cat form. With Kyo's monologue and the ending song as the background made it even more emotional.

i've only cried in anime with violet evergarden ep10, but it was involved in death in a certain way.
although i got teary eyes in the graduation episode of k-on, with the song to azusa.
it was heartbreaking thinking that the girls were leaving and azusa would be alone her last year,,,,,

Whether I watch the anime or read the manga, when Luffy rings the golden bell in Shandora, I just start bawling.
I was really moved by the stories of Kalgara and Noland, so to see the bell finally rung after centuries just reaaaaally gets me.

If by cry you mean shed a few mantears, then occasionally, if the show does a good job of getting me attached to the characters. Might even do it if it's a very happy scene.

Last one I can remember was Violet Evergarden.

Not crying outrageously but yeah... quietly .... tears often or almost tears you know what i mean, and not only sad moments
being identified with the character, feeling happy for them
Tears of joy, happiness, nostalgia, freedom, achievement, the beauty of life, realizing something, against all odds, perseverance, passion, kindness, forgiveness, admiration

Some anime i can remember i did that: Violet evergarden, Yesterday wo Utatte, Monster, Mushishi, Angel Beats, Erased, Claymore, Cowboy Bebop, FMA , Magi, Fate, Ashita no joe , Love Live, High score girl, InuYasha, inuyashiki, Made in abyss, Perfect day, Piano no mori, Planetarium, Pokemon, reLIFE, Samurai X, Shoujo Shuumatsu Jugyou, Tenkuu no shiro Laputa (cries of laugh in spanish dub), Toradora, Kimetsu no yaiba, Ano hana, Digimon, Dragon Ball,Guilty Crown and Psycho pass yeah the music is very intense and at least half of the anime movies i watch

Tsumiki no Ie (La Maison en Petits Cubes)

the music plays a huge role for me. i can feel the music even without understanding what they say in the lyrics

The only time I ever cried when it comes to anime was when Butterfree left Ash early in series.

That was back in early 2000s, and no one actually died during that episode.

I cried really hard at Your Name. I was also sobbing throughout the Haikyuu manga, especially at the end. Hit me right in the feels. One Piece scenes that didn't involve death have also made me cry on many occasions.

It has happened before, like when I watched A Silent Voice, and for whatever reason Your Name, but it doesn't happen very often. The saddest moments come from characters deaths.

If I were to cry from an anime, it would be from a beautiful moment rather than a sad one. If that moment involves sadness or a death than so be it. Only one anime has made me shed tears in my adulthood.

Many times. I usually cry at friendship moments or at scenes where the character(s) experience struggles and resolve them. There’s probably a lot more but yeah

Yes, especially in titles such as Maquia, in which I teared up at least 3 times during the movie and 1 final time at the end where I cried my eyes out.

Or 3-gatsu's first season, who also made me cry, when Rei had a breakdown.

Of course, all the time. Not sobbing like crazy, that happens very rarely, but tears form in my eyes or run down my face quite regularly as a response to a wide plethora of heart-wrenching events.

Yep. When Butterfree permanently left Ash in Bye Bye Butterfree, and when Pikachu left Ash but returned in the end in Pikachu's Goodbye. Those episodes destroyed me as a kid lol. They don't involve death, but they do involve goodbyes. It's almost always either death scenes or goodbye scenes that get me.

The most memorable one to me was Chihiro finally breaking down and crying over everything that has happened to her so far in Spirited Away.

The music, atmosphere, and especially when she started tearing up as she was eating the riceball Haku gave her all just really got me and had me crying with her. It just really makes you feel for her and understand her frustration and sadness with what has been going on, and finally having just a moment to let it all out.

Most recently, the scene in A Silent Voice where Shouko apologizes to Shoya's mom really made me cry. During the "fight" a few seconds before with Shouko's mom and that one bitch who I don't care the name of I was feeling pissed and wanted to punch something, but when Shoya's mom showed up and Shouko started to cry and tell her sorry, it broke my heart.
