Attack on Titan
| He is basically a ripoff of Feitan from hunter x hunter, all he did was act tsundere and spin like a bayblade ,his backstory is pretty generic and for most of the part he was not contributing anything to the plot, attack on titan has many great characters, so why him? also hunterxhunter fans please don't give that hxh is under-rated argument it's literally one of the most popular anime on this site and PS I'm not jelous, I'm just curious. |

| Yeah I dislike Levi more than Mikasa, which is apparently the only aot character everyone likes to dunk on for some reason (except ch139 eren ofc). His popularity is even more confusing when realize he gets almost no screentime and is only relevant for one or two key moments after the timeskip. |
| He's definitely one of the most badass characters, but I personally respect Levi more than anything else. He has a strong resolve, he's strong and more than anything he's not self-righteous. The fact that he admits he doesn't know what can be considered wrong or right depending on the situation made me appreciate Levi's character a lot. |

| after erwin and reiner , he is easily the best written character for me (along with ymir) . from his childhood to how his life's journey has gone , made choices he regrets deeply , decided to never end up making a decision in fright of having regrets and shifted that responsibilty ( and how to use his power) to the person he trusts the most , ended up having to make the biggest decision maybe in the history of the scouts's journey , which was also a decision concerning the person he shifted that very responsibilty to ( erwin's death) . i am very anxious to know what his fate is after how part 1 ended . i think he deserves his popluarity. |
Well I was wondering the same but looking at the replies here I think it all boils down to a kinda badass character with a great voice actor for most of the part and not actual character depth Zaid_Xiao_Long said: He is as generic as it can get, Erwin and Eren are way more interesting But because Attack on Titan has a large fan base, and a big portion of it is horny teens and girls, Levi gets too much credit for being a short, pretty, cool and badass character, not because his character has any real depth to it beyond that It's the same idea for a lot of popular characters as well like Kirito for example yes i agree |

| because he just is. well, i have him in my favorites too. i dunno but anyone who say "he is overrated af" should watch his OVA "Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku". when people watch this and still say he is overrated, well,that's how it should be for you... for me on the other hand, was this the final conviction why Levi is such a great character. |
