I started One Piece on January 5th, and I'm currently on episode 665. I work Monday-Saturday 9-5 and sometimes I have to stay longer. I watch from around 9-10 pm to 12-2 am. Is that too slow? When I have two or three days off I binge watch it so around 40 to 60 episodes in two days. But I had that chance only once. I challanged myself to see if I can watch 100 eps in 7 days considering my work, and I really did it, but it wasn't healthy for me

How long did it take you to catch up, considering your free time (even if you have a lot of free time, I'm interested)?

What do you think for people who are watching this anime, and would you recommend it? Why?

I never tried to catch up, I just watched it in my own rythm. I remember binging 3-4 episodes max a day when it was a slow paced arc (let's say alabasta and the like). I started OP in 2012 and caught up with it in 2017 if I remember correctly.
Sure I recommend it, it's good if you enjoy battle shonen with colorful characters

Of course. It's my favorite series of all time and I think you'll enjoy it.

I've been watching the episodes weekly for years now and it took a few months or so for me to catch up

When I was a kid I watched up until the end of the Arabasta Saga (at which point the original dub ended) and then I followed the manga until right before the big time skip. Picking the show back up is on my list of things to watch but boy is that a lot of content to catch up on. I think next time we have a really shitty anime season what I'll do is watch it (starting from the very beginning) for one hour a day while working out (instead of the usual seasonal anime I would watch during that period). Except I'll watch at x2 speed since the anime moves slow as hell meaning I'll get through six episodes a day. But even at that rate it'll still take almost half a year to complete the show. Unfortunately Gintama is on my watch list to and that one is also ridiculously long.

Don't try to catch up, just enjoy the story as-is. Trust me, if you really enjoy it you'll regret not being able to binge anymore lol, unless there are other anime you really wanna start.

But that's very impressive. I only caught up to that many One Piece episodes in 16 months.

Yes, it is too slow. You should quit your 9-5 job and become a professional One Piece watcher instead. One Piece is one of the best anime ever made.

Went on for 3 years right? I didn't mind it was long. I only dislike the a it's repeat Arc. It's just Arabasta again.

It progresses slowly, but it has fun characters and the story can get pretty interesting in some arcs. I'd recommend it to shounen fans who don't mind a lengthy anime.

I watch One Piece at my own pace. Sometimes I'll binge an entire arc (especially if it's hype), and other times I'll just watch a few episodes. I really need to catch up soon, haven't watched it in a while.
