I watched scamboli's thoughts on Redo of a Healer and I think what he basically said just summed up what the series is actually about.

I agree on his stance about the characters are made solely to fulfill this one-sided revenge plot for all those people with like revenge plot boners.

when i first watched episode 2 i was like FUCK YEAH, a very brutal raw revenge story and i even gave it a 9, but that wasn't really the case in the anime at least, they focus more on the fanservice, and let me tell you it has probably top 3 fanservice in all of anime for me

My main complaint with the anime is that they toned down some of the violence. I would recommend reading the scene with Blade in the manga for comparison, starting in chapter 24.

If their are people that think this anime is a masterpiece I will respectful say you have N/A braincells. Redo of Healer was plain garbage not saying that I didn’t enjoy the trash a little. The anime has poor writing and shit character development. An example of shit writing when the MC raped the princess and change her appearance he went in to hiding changing his name from “keyaru” to “keyaruga” you can’t look at that and tell me the writing isn’t poor. And for shit character development we were given no reason as to why the characters abused the healer hero like this and y was this fact left out because the anime inherently exist to only be grim. And 1 last thing if we had more characters like the healer hero anime would be shit, boring and unfruitful 1/10

So, for what it is, I assume it’s good. It’s porn, plain and simple. It may be marketed as an anime, but people who watch it watch it for porn.

In that regard, I guess it’s good, but for people who want to watch standard anime, it’s just not good. Like, the pacing is kinda shit (because it always stops for the porn) and there’s nothing to get you engaged.

Look at one punch man, which also has a super op hero who easily wins every fight. OPM uses that as a strength, to turn the show into a comedy, but Redo just uses it as a plot device.

And outside of that, the world for the most part is generic, and the animation is average. The only parts of the show that are any decent, is the porn.

Literally don’t watch this if you aren’t looking for porn, and even then it’s rape and domination porn, which is like, objectively the worse type of porn. If you’re horny, and you want to watch animated rape, and the later on domination porn, go ahead, but I’m gonna judge you

I guess the anime and story is alright, I wouldn’t say it’s a masterpiece but I’m just saying to me the anime is just guilty pleasure in which I like and approve of since the MC did have to go through some messed up shit because he was drugged and was forced to obey those bitch ass hero’s.

Yeah, same I had given it seven for first three episodes and then it turned into an entire hentai where the main story is how protaganist makes slaves and treats them for his revenge and not how he reaches to that point and carries his schemes ... Things just keep happening

I honestly really enjoyed it the characters are seen in somewhat of depth and it showcases a tough subject of revenge and how some parts of society are. It’s nice to see boobs and stuff but it doesn’t take away from the plot and character development.

It was fine, plot was kinda bland and felt like some 'bad' events were forced just for the sake of revenge and fan service. I didn't care for the sex scenes. Just treated it like another anime even though it's pretty much hentai.

Its an average softcore rape hentai, honestly. People calling it a masterpiece are delusional. It has boobs, it has some softcore porn, and it has middling action sequences to keep things interesting. Solid 5/10 if you have no other types of porn at hand.

I wouldn’t consider a hentai tbh. It has sex scenes but through the series it doesn’t show too much for too long(of course other than the crucial parts for the sake of the mc getting revenge). It’s like in go shows and movies, some have many sex scenes but most won’t call it porn, just graphic. At the end of the day you can just consider it vulgar and move on but if you really want to analyze it, you can see a story of revenge and the realities of society and what some people go through. It shows how intense power dynamics can be and how the naive and innocent tend to always be taken advantaged of by the “powerful” people. It also shows character development on the Mac by slowly showing how he just want revenge to have a softer side and possibly be an actual hero. I’m not saying everyone should think of it as a 10 but it shouldn’t just be lumped into the genre of borderline hentai because it has sex scenes
