Although the cut is not deep enough to damage his organs, he will still be bleeding a lot and getting into system shock. If Shin can stand back up too, he can finish him off easily. This battle is drawing to a close. There are still 10 episode left and probably at least 8 episodes will be post battle stuff. So, they will most likely be covering character development materials between this war and the next war. I guess they won't end this season on some epic war victory. |
| Can't help but feel this anime dropped off in the last 10 odd episodes, maybe a bit less. They've started dragging some parts out too much, while the animation has taken quite a dip. Not to mention certain big moments lacked impact, probably due to the dragging out of scenes. Still, not a bad episode, Meng Ao vs Lian Po should be next episode. Unless they drag it out that fight should be done by the time the episode is over but considering how they're dragging things out it probably won't. The war itself should probably be done in episode 31, while the next episode will probably be the aftermath. |

Really? I feel that this anime's story has started to really pick up since Xin started fighting Lun Hu. Although I agree that animation quality has dropped just a tad bit, for example, I noticed that they reverted back to using the silly looking 3D animation for most of the battle scenes. |
| Animation and pacing aside, this was a great episode. The animation for the fast swordplay was really good, and the rest was intense as well. The huge moment with Chu Shui and Lun Hu getting cut down was beautifully done. Another intense ending, of course it'll take a little more to take him down. That was definitely the beginning of the end for Lun Hu though I'm sure. One arm and a sliced chest against Xin's mere bad leg, Xin clearly has all the momentum as Lun Hu won't be able to defend against his two handed freak strength at this point. |

| Is the pacing following the manga or is the studio purposely extending some scenes? Outside of the 'obvious' times when both combatants could have lopped each others' heads off, this episode continued to rachet up the tension. |

| I was hoping Lun Hu would have opened his eyes when he stood up. That wouldve been too beastly. :) Hopefully my man Bi can help out Meng Ao in some way in the upcoming eps. |
