Title says it all.
I've been finding it tougher to watch anime not because I do not want to, but due to the busy schedule while working full-time.
How do you guys manage the work - anime balance ?

I work 32 hours a week and manage 4 episodes a day in the evening. I could go full time, but 32 hours is preferable to 40 despite extra cash for me.

Before when I used to go to office I watched half an episode (sometimes full if I had the time) in the morning while having breakfast and then the other half after returning home and then another episode while having dinner.

Thanks to the pandemic I'm still working from home and get more time to watch anime - 1 episode in the morning, 1 during lunch break and 2 after work. I still work full time (the usual 54 hours a week, sometimes a little extra) but cutting down on travel really helped me.

Used to watch two to four hours per day when I was doing 60 hour weeks. Just stop consuming social media dogshit. Cold turkey.

Back when I worked 45 hours a week I was able to watch about 7-8 episodes a day. You just gotta motivate yourself and cut out other stuff.

I mean, it's not like I'm constantly at work. I watch before and after work if I feel like it, and on my off days. I read manga/light novels on my breaks.

I've also gotten good at multi-tasking, so I'll watch anime while doing things like getting ready, washing dishes, doing hobbies, etc. If it's something I want to give my undivided attention to, I save it for days off.

Then again I don't have many social obligations. I live across the country from my family, I live with my boyfriend, friends are social distancing, but I'm an introvert anyways so most of my spare time has always been for myself. I prioritize my mental health, and taking time for my hobbies is vital.

If you work under 50 hrs a week and don't have children you should be able to get at least an hour a day.

I work full-time but luckily as a teacher I only work 21 hours a week at school and some days we can leave school earlier (10-11 morning) so I have all the time for anime. Add also summer, christmas and easter holidays, totalling 1/3 of the year.

But decided to balance it out by learning 2 foreign language or I'll get bored with anime too.

Of course you even have more time as a full time employee than as a college student

For me, it's before and after work. I come home (at 9pm at the latest) go into my room, shut off all the lights, crawl into bed, and watch anime till I am tired enough to fall asleep in my bed. Before going to work, I try to fit in at least 3 episodes.

It has definitely reduced how much anime I watch, back when I was in college at times I was watching like 10 episodes a day. Nowadays its more when I feel like it. I don't think there's any point to trying to force yourself to watch anime, you just do it when you want to. I'm a little more into visual novels these days though so my time is kind of split there.

It depends on your schedule, really. I have 4 hours in the evening to myself if I have work, I could be watching a couple of episodes if I wanted to.
