| Goblin Slayer, the first one or two episodes were ok and then I honestly don't know what happened because I don't remember anything at all and it wasn't even that long ago lmao. NGNL in terms of no season 2. First season was so good and then it just ends randomly. Had the potential to expand so much and.. yeah. Berserk CGI series... Don't even need to explain myself. Tokyo Ghoul, the manga is great though, whoever says they liked S1 of TG anime and hated the sequel adaptations while at the same time saying that the manga isn't much better are just lying or haven't read the manga. Kyokou Suiri first episode set up for something really unique and cool... And then it just got boring to a point where I dropped it. Owari no Seraph strong start into a run of the mill battle shonen.... I feel like I could keep going forever. |

I can totally agree all men do is lie and cheat. any female I lay my eyes on is treated like a goddess. I myself enjoy watching lesbian anime because I am watching a romance but instead of one goddess female I am watching 2. |

| Naruto. Despite it being one of my favorites, I mostly like it for the setting, characters, and a few arcs. If there was more arcs like the Land of Waves before the chunin exams, I think part 1 would have been much more interesting. I also wasn't a big fan of all the powerscaling. Elite Jounin in early part 1 felt super intimidating. Plus the very first arc put the characters through the tragedies of being a ninja, and the stakes felt a lot higher. Also "missions" were relevant. RoyaleMiko said: My answer is pretty simple: Pokémon. | -First of all fairy tail series. It was going perfect but the last arc (Alvarez arc) completely disappointed me. The main antagonist zeref had great potential to become the perfect antagonist. -One punch man season 02 was also disappointed. The animation was worse than season 01. Fans were expecting more from this series. -Highschool DxD hero was completely disappointing. The drawing pattern was completely changed which ruin the beauty of our fav waifus (rias, akeno, etc) |

| Boogiepop has the potential to be a really creepy and atmospheric series but it falls flat every time they try. Shigofumi tried to do this big plot and like... The plot was good but I woulda preferred what is essentially an anthology series with the only connection being Fumika who delivers a letter and observes the result every ep. Deca-Dence almost had something. Not something amazing but something at least good. |

| Mayoiga. I love the concept of adrenaline induced survival animes that edge the audience, and Mayoiga was presented in such a way. The characters were diverse, and held potential for immense development and story, but it completely plunged when the anime lacked explanation behind half of the characters backstories, hence irregular plot holes. Not only were the characters badly slotted, but the role of a potential villain shunned into a corner with an overly stereotypical reason, which rarely was highlighted. The ending left me with pent up frustration, and honestly, the production of the anime went to waste with the poorly written episodes. |

| Girls' Last Tour had the makings of a great anime: world-class premise, naturally thought-provoking themes, a setting with lore to uncover, expressive character design, effective sound and music, fun concepts for episodes.... However, the MC's must have the least chemistry between two characters I've ever seen, and they are the only characters 90% of the time. Chi is pragmatic, but often incompetent. Yuu might actually be a sociopath. For me, it's painful to watch because I adore everything else about it, but those two are a fatal flaw. |

| Rosario to vampire could have been one of the top t-ier battle shounen, but sadly Gazono thought it would be a good idé to add in ridiculous comedy, change the the story, make Tsukune into a clown. The manga is really good, especially the second season, but what we got was a whole damn circus on a plate. This adaption really could have been something awesome, but Ganzo is like Ganzo is, love to create shit. The whole adaption is waste of time, efort, money and the viewers time. |

| BNA: you'd think an anime by studio Trigger, set in a world with people who can turn into animals would be more ambitious, but nope, this one plays it safe by being extremely conventional and generic. I think it would've worked much better if he manned up much earlier on, while still being afraid at times. WatchTillTandava said: Excluding all those anime which have in part squandered potential because to this day they are still lacking a needed season two, season three, etc. and proper conclusion. Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Such a great world and setting, a windswept rocky island and this mansion of such opulence which becomes a battlefield as well as the witches' realm, great (potential) characters, based on one of the most acclaimed VNs of all time, elaborate concepts and in-universe system of logic, but it all breaks down for being so rushed and haphazardly thrown together that nothing feels like it has any real gravity behind it and al the plot points and characters and story as a whole is so blatantly devalued. First of all, like Higurashi, there's no reason this could have ever worked with one season as it would need at least two seasons of equal length to Higurashi to have even a chance of fleshing out its story. Babylon - In line with the common sentiments on this, the latter half is just such an absolute mess. It is neither ever shown nor explained why the villain/antagonist has this random mysterious power that doesn't work or follow from anything shown in the series previously since it isn't a fantasy world. And they tackle such ambitious and weighty subject matter but it receives a very shallow treatment with weak dialogue. Spice and Wolf season 2 - All the potential capital of rich mythos and financial intrigue which could have contributed to worldbuilding and character relations which felt like they mattered all pissed away on a collection of 2 -3 episode mini-arcs with irrelevant side characters, such typical contrived melodramatic bullshit of the worst kind with one character just not saying something to the other which would clear up any minor or major misunderstanding instantaneously for no discernible reason whatsoever "just because", and all that time spent on that all-too-common nonsense just to still end on a cliffhanger. I rated the first season of S&W with a 7, but this one was no better than a 4 to me and lowered my opinion of the series as a whole and any prospects or hopes for it in the future. Sakamichi no Apollon - 1960s Japan on the coast in a port city hosting a U.S. naval station and subject to American pop cultural influence in the music scene. A setting usually unexplored which could be of a great interest and for much of it it does manage that, but this is another series I found overrated and disappointing due to relying so heavily on the cheapest shallowest least justified out of thin air type melodrama. Constant scenes which could have been resolved with a sentence and the characters' constant refusal to do so just didn't feel logical, natural, or justifiable, and reduced them to plot devices and not characters you could really sympathize with, relate to, or get behind. The low quality romance again lowered this for me. Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai - This is a 7 for me so I don't believe it's as egregious as the previous examples, but I feel like the subject of, of all things, a ghost I'll admit - the redheaded girl is a more solid character I enjoyed and I did moisten and swallow hard a few times toward the end, but that's a very low bar as I'm extremely easy to get emotional watching anything as I get quite immersed and I've seen like 1001 dramas, even Lifetime movie television dramas, which have achieved the same. The bottom line - These aren't characters and a world which stays with me. And that's a shame. It's more like junk food. Yet could be so much more. Id: Invaded - Again, one I rate a 7 and overall I was thrilled to see another Sci-Fi thriller (even if more science fantasy) and police procedural come out of contemporary anime, but the ending on this one is also a bit rushed and nonsensical which undercuts it. I realize that as controversial and subjective as any anime is and can be received, out of any individual anime, the ending itself is often the most controversial part so this is nothing new or particularly surprising. But I'm really sick and disgusted with how some series give their villainous characters completely nonsensical or unexplained motives. The villain in this had no reason for doing what they did ever shown even once onscreen or explained in any proper manner by either themselves or other characters onscreen in a scene of exposition. It's basically just a "Cause chaos. See the world burn!" type one sentence throwaway line and non-motive, and this and anywhere else such mental gymnastics and shortcuts rear their head it cheapens the whole world/story/characters to me. Karneval - It's just the epitome of what someone envisions when you call to mind an anime that only exists to serve and promote the source material. A fascinating world and lore but those dots are not actually put together in the show itself in a meaningful way which makes you feel anything and seem like a proper story rather than just shortcut slapdash bullet points. Such a both whimsical and sinister world, colorful and vibrant childlike aesthestic with such a conflict brewing in the background and seedy underbelly beneath the surfaces. But we never properly see it unfold. All characters just feel like rushed cliff notes and archetypes. To name a few. As of now I just included series I've fully completed already in this list, by the way, and nothing I've dropped or have put on hold. Dang you went all out I havented seen most of them but invaded really put me in a bad mood after watching. I waited till the end of the season too watch it becuase there’s nothing I hate more then getting let down after anticipating every week for a anime that in the end sucked. And yes it was kinda a letdown. I completely agree with what you said about the nonsensical parts and rushed plots. I think what I really only enjoyed about it was the messages some of the worlds (not sure what it was exactly called) he jumped in like the train one. The train in a circle loop a never ending train ride. It was to really signify somthing to the viewer. Small things like that really get good points in my list |

Goblin Slayer, improve the art or at least make the proportion more humane. never mind when I said any. The final arc, however, added so much nonsensical drama and shoehorned a new love interest for the plot which ended up being such a crapshoot. I thought to myself, wow a concept like this is so original and I wonder what could happen as the end of the anime rolled around it was more and more bs nonsensical dramatics and character tropes going stale no character development. The show essentially became Kugya but worse. Darling in the Franxx was good until the beach episode after that it fell apart steadily. I think the show was also quite offensive I am not a liberal and nor do I care but in the eyes of some viewers, the anime could have actually hurt them. For example, the part where the boy wanted to be skinny and not fat, he was starving himself and throwing up his food. people who are in his situation should get mirrored in an anime. again I don't care. There were other parts I just barely remember any of those show so I don't wanna give false info. What my conclusion is Darling in the franxx was not just not only bad as an anime, it symbolically made fun of people unintentionally. |

It was the Mc for me Yuki was such a timid bitch from the start till end it was like watching a crying dog for 24 ep if where talking endings I actually enjoyed redial even thought it was cliche The protagonist of Mirai Nikki is supposed to be a wimp. And not just a wimp but a dirty coward. That's why the bully guy calls him out on it near the end for being a coward. It's almost villain protagonist status, not as bad as Yuno but you aren't supposed to like him. And that is epitomized in this scene: Mirai Nikki riffs on the "wimpy protagonist" arch type deliberately by having characters react how they should react to someone who is a coward. Similar to how School Days turns the the "indecisive VN protagonist" on its head. The idea that the protagonist must be likeable else the show is bad is a widespread myth in the anime community. |

Yeah it has no story But solo leveling works on the same premise 8% very basic story 92% just looking badass while being drawn incredibly well DOnT foRgeT tHe RApE SceNe iN Ep 1 CmoN mAn. |

It lacks a story I think it's kind of amazing how author-kun teases a lot of interesting ideas in goblin slayer and then litterally doesn't do anything with it . It feels like he is just trying out how little story he can actually put into something. The Characters litterally don't even have names and GS himself is the only one with a very very basic backstory It's the DOOM of anime. It's nice to observe violence for the sake of violence but it could have been a lot more then that A guy who only goes around slaying goblins jeez I wonder what is lacking. It's a way to attract people to watch the anime The question is who the wanted group was Usually dark subject matter like that is associated with really dark stories . And those tend to dive deep into some deeper themes GS episode 1 made people think this would be the next berserk |

The final arc, however, added so much nonsensical drama and shoehorned a new love interest for the plot which ended up being such a crapshoot. Also, I was okay with there starting character designs, they had many, glaring flaws, but characters are supposed to grow right? Not here, they always hinted at that shit but then reverted back to their tsundere hate fetish or whatever. Obligatory Darling in the Franxx too. Wow very interesting, I remember I was still enjoying it well past the beach episode. For me the turning point was when 02 turned into a husk and Hiro had to go to space and find her in the form of a spaceship or something? Sorry for my vague synopsis, I literally just forgot everything lol it was so insufferable. And I never found it offensive, or at least not as offensive as other animes have gone, but I get your point, it wasn't well executed. |
