Of course we know that if the MC helps someone, he will be rewarded later. It seems kind of weird that everyone accepts him so easily when he wins. I knew it from the beginning that he would reject the offer or find some other way to stay with them. |

| Judai 2 - Manjoume 0 and Chronos is 0 for 4. Definitely a better duel, but they've been too quick. We need to get some multi-episode duels going soon. |

| It's sad that this is basically the only episode in the whole series where we see Judai and the others take a test. Granted, the written portion was skipped and we only got to see Judai in the practical exam, but still. Also I thought it was ridiculous that the Japanese military (or I guess American, they certainly didn't look Japanese) was involved in supplying Duel Academy with new cards. Also the fact that Manjoume didn't use a single one of the new cards Chronos had in his cloak (cards from Soul of the Duelist and Rise of Destiny) when he dueled Judai lol. Judai staying in Osiris Red made sense in terms of plot, but I thought Sho was a coward for leaving Judai sleeping at the dorm the morning of the exam. |

| I have a decent guess as to why Slifer is constantly getting shafted, but it's still strange that one of the three Egyptian god cards constantly gets disrespected. Anyways, I'm amused that the transfer of rare monster cards is accompanied by military transport. Duel Monsters is serious stuff, huh. |
Chronos got defeated by Flame Wingman. Asuka got defeated by Thunder Giant. Manjoume... ...gets defeated by a 1000 ATK vanilla. The perfect amount of disrespect to this scrub who rolls over and dies from season 1 until series end at season 4. (Also, fun fact, on his second turn he set up having VW-Tiger Catapult (2000 ATK), X-Head Cannon (1800 ATK), Y-Dragon Head (1500 ATK), and Z-Metal Tank (1500 ATK), against Judai's 2800 LP, Sparkman in defense (1400 DEF), and a set A Hero Emerges which would summon Burst Lady (1200 ATK / 800 DEF). If he just swings with all four, he would have won, but of course the scrub had to show off with his BIG NUMBAH and ends up rolling over and dying) (Though on second thought, Judai has 4 cards in hand when he activates A Hero Emerges. We know one is Winged Kuriboh and one is Burst Lady, and the other two he would discard later to activate the Transcendent Wings he drew in his next turn. If Judai summons Winged Kuriboh he is safe for the turn, though he would draw a dead Transcendent Wings as his Winged Kuriboh is in the graveyard. But knowing Judai, probably one of the two cards he discarded is Monster Reborn, so he would be able to revive Winged Kuriboh and then discard the other card along with Burst Lady as cost for Transcendent Wings. So yeah, there's still a chance for Judai to win even if Manjoume just swings with all four) Edit: Also I absolutely love how Judai's theme plays immediately after he draws Transcendent Wings and has a flashback with Tome-san, pauses when Manjoume declares his activation of effect and subsequent attack, and then resumes again when Judai activates Transcendent Wings |
