| When i choose an anime to watch i always check the score it was given on MAL, if an anime has a score lower than 7.5/10, i dont even bother watching it, cause i've been disappointed alot with these kind of shows. And most of the time, the general puplic gives a fitting score to the quality of an anime. Though there are some anime with a score lower than 7.5/10 that i enjoyed, they do tend to end up in the lower scored anime in my list. For example; Deadman Wonderland, Accel World, Afro Samurai. Are there any anime that get's hated on for no reason? Is there any anime that u think should be scored alot higher? |

Petite Princess Yucie is criminally underrated. Easily my favorite Gainax show with zero other competition. So much love and care was put into this series, yet I don't hear anyone talk about it. |

| There is a couple of them: Koi wa Ameagari no You ni - This series has some of the greatest writing I have ever seen in anime. Net Juu no Susume - If you are looking for an adult romance anime, don't look any further. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - probably the best anime from Shaft. Shaman King - yeah it's nostalgia. Shiki - I guess people don't really get it. Tsurezure Children - Tsundre-tamer Akagi-san would be dissapointed by this rating. |
| I noticed that older or more abscure anime with scores in the 7s tend to be very good. Stuff like macross, gundam, pre-eva gainax, old OVAs like gunnm, gunsmith cats and armitage III, mamoru oshii stuff. Also hell girl, gunslinger girl, DBS and re:creators, I really liked those. I wouldn't call them underrated because these scores are closer to how I rate them. |

The average score is simply what a general amount of the public thinks, it's just a number and it really doesn't necessarily imply objectivity. I'm sure you already know this with your rating for Beyond the Boundary. Anyway, on-topic... oh boy there's a couple of those on my list, check these out:

| Hoshiai no Sora and Grisaia no Kajitsu. Both have a score of 7 and a bit more but it was better than just good, there were hella good. No one even talks about these two anime like there are so many topics to discuss but no one does. Truly underrated masterpieces in my opinions |

It wasn't Akane Kazuki's fault either. He had planned a 24-episode story, but the production committee decided to end it after twelve. (The anime industry still doesn't treat original stories very well.) Other than that, it was an excellent show. Kono Oto Tomare clocks in just under eight. It's a better show than that. |
I read the thing and it sounds interesting but is it worth the 47 episode watch? I might watch it but how good is it in your opinion |

I might watch it but how good is it in your opinion i personally enjoyed it a lot. the story is pretty simple and maybe a bit boring to some, but it's really heartwarming and the characters as well as the story itself feels real. i don't really mind it if shows are on the longer side, but i see why some people would find it off-putting. i suggest you try at least 10 episodes or so to see if it's something for you. i'd say it's definitely worth the watch, but it's not for everyone (although i'd argue that it's a show that everyone should watch/try at least once). Like it sounds really good but I feel like the episodes will be dragged out but I'll start it once I finish Bofuri |

| I just finished The Royal Tutor and I seriously enjoyed every one bit of it (mainly because the guys were cute LOL) Yah i do think The Royal Tutor is underrated. |

I've been watching anime for around 10 years now, and my list isn't that "big" in terms of different anime seen compared to other people on MAL. I just prefer quality over quantity. And usually the higher rated anime are a decent watch, ofcourse there will be exceptions, and everybody has a different taste, but picking high scoring anime is a safe bet that the show isnt so bad. Somehow i just have had bad experiences with "low" scored anime, there are definitely some gems out there that i havent seen yet. I just hate commiting to a show, and realising it aint for me after 3-5 episodes. Shows that i will check out from this thread are: - Basilisk - Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne - Canaan Weird that i picked the more darker anime though, i'm just not into comedy anime, and those got recommended alot here |

| bungou stray dogs season 1 (7.79) I rated it an 8 because it was extremely entertaining and I loved everything about it |
