oh, and I have a manga recommendation too that I think you'll like. it is one of my favorites and a work that marked me a lot for its great development and a great conclusion. take a look when you can, it’s already finished and worth it.

yes, i need to update the chapters of my favorite manga ksksk. but, a question, since chapter 215 did it give any indication of romance? because in the last few that I read I was already making some progress

Good evening, and no problem! I am open to discussing my views on fiction, and to argue (civilly) about points. One more thing: when you intend to view Devilman more critically, imo you should pay attention especially to the transitions (e.g demons revealed -> world going crazy).

Should you rewatch it (or watch something else shared), feel free to discuss.

Hello! About Devilman, it has to do with the fact I did not like its visual production and how the plot was treated. I have experience with multiple anime of Yuasa's style, but this one's production seemed shoddy (as in lacking in budget, the art missing in details and with low effort behind the animation) and often felt as if it was masked as artsy.

But the plot was what truely bothered me; to me the characters (save for Ryo, perhaps) were either too flat or one-sidedly mean to feel anything towards them (especially if simply used as fodder for demons), the story seemed too rushed and poorly held together (plus overeliant on shock factor), the transitions between scenes bothering me in particular. I also did not like its preachy "humans are the real monsters" and how rushedly and "in our face" this was treated.

Negativity aside, liked its OST and loved its OP (the visuals especially). Some surreal visuals also fitted like a glove, and liked Akira's compassionate nature. The rapping was also an interesting addition at times.

Lol, I stumbled upon yours at some random forum post, I'm about to continue the Monogatari series (after long pause), oh, and I see you haven't seen 3-gatsu No Lion, I can guarantee you will like it if you're in need of Slice of Life anime ;)
Hunter x Hunter still sit wayyyyy back in my waiting list lol (tell me how it goes!)

Thank you.
If you liked Megalo Box, I'd recommend checking out Ashita no Joe, since it very much has the same appeal. The first season has a few fillers, with the manga-canon episodes end at episode 54, and the remaining episodes (55-79) being fillers.

Ashita no Joe, Beastars and Hibike!Euphonium are all available on

I'm watching a few shows right now.
Kekkaishi is a pretty generic fantasy shounen, where the only really unique thing about it is the magic system, the Kekkai, which was nicely developed. The characters and story could certainly have been better, but the show as a whole was pretty ok.

I've just started Beastars, and I'm really liking it so far. Studio Orange works wonders when it comes to the CGI animation, with both the characters and the story being very well made and grounded in realism, despite all of the characters being anthropomorphic animals.
I'm also watching Attack on Titan (I know I'm late to the party), and I'm enjoying it so far. I haven't seen that many episodes yet, but I have a feeling that it's gonna be awesome.
I'm also watching Hibike! Euphonium, a music anime with a lot of drama, and a comedy show named Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge.
