| Once the algorithm to remove bot/spam accounts has been implemented shortly, this will end up doing more harm than good to the series. At the moment, you have a larger percentage of people creating accounts solely to rate the show 10/10 than people who aren't rating it 1/10 out of spite. The users who are rating it 1/10 out of spite due to the spam are less likely to be bots, and more likely genuine, pissed off MAL community members. Those won't get removed once the algorithm corrects, leaving the series with a score not reflective of it's actual quality. |
