THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- The start of the long overlooked Uruka arc? And a short timeskip right to graduation trip?! Down with a fever when finally alone?! They were alone just when she confesssed! I can't take it! Edit: Thought I would put some colour to this beautiful moment because chances are: it will never be animated. :( |

I wouldn't go that far. It may not be best possible end, but there isn't much that could be done. Completell flipping anime and after two seasons switching from Fumi to Uruka would be too outlandish so third was pretty much impossible. Make sense they would just skip to the end and fix as much as they can. Not most satisfying ending but it worked well as damage contol imho. |

Not much could be done? They could just leave it open ended. This is now a complete farce and look how garbage Fumino and Sensei whores are abusing the twitter account of the mangaka. It seems like the director had a fallout with Tsutsui regarding the end girl and wanted to ruin his work. Notice how Jump Festa 2020 Big Announcement was also just a half assed programme last week. |

Hebi_op said: Lmao perfect timing since the anime original ending. The role reversal is pretty amazing. Fans used to point her getting flustered 24/7 the downside of her and now she is so collected after confessing. Now it's Nariyuki's turn to go through what Uruka has been going through. It almost feels like she has matured a lot after taking such a big step. :) And now that this is happening, I feel like even if she were to leave, she would still be the one for him. Probably a long distance relationship. That would be Nariyuki's way of showing his affection for the girl who left Poke choco for him for 5 years straight. |

Care to explain why? Because for me, it's the other way around. If anything, that cover is excellent. It breaks the solo heroine sequence of Vol. 11 Fumino solo, Vol. 12 Sensei solo, Vol. 13 Senpai solo and Vol. 14 Rizu solo with a dual cover with Nariyuki. No other heroine in the manga got a dual cover with Nariyuki. None. |

Tbh, I don't wat Uruka to win, but I have to say, I'm interested in knowing where they take this, -How will the others react when they learn that Uruka confessed to Yuiga? -How will the relationship between both of them change? -Will Uruka go overseas, and then come back in the future to get Yuiga? (I don't think she will reject the schollarship) -Will Furuhashi finally follow her heart, stop trying to get Uruka and Rizu to confess, and become more agressive? I think she would have the highest chances -Will Sensei try something now that Yuiga graduates? Or will we have more moments of her and Yuiga now that he will start studying for being an educator like her Ahh, there are too many things. For me Sensei or Furuhashi should win. But I want to see Rizu realize her feelings, and Senpai to be more direct, maybe then I will change my choice |

^Fumino is 50 chapters too early to become the end game. If it's not Uruka or Sensei, the manga will need 5-6 more volumes but the setting wouldn't allow that. There is no way this will enter college years. Nariyuki never showed any romantic inclination towards Fumino. Her chance of being aggressive and winning is almost nonexistent. It will need time for her to win and the way the manga has gone, time is not in favour of her. She might confess but Nariyuki will most likely reject her because of the story's narrative in the past year or so's content. |

^ Do you really think Yuiga doesn't feel anything for Furuhashi? I can't really see it like that, personally, with all the events we have atm between the characters, I believe she, and Sensei would make more sense, except that with the second one, it would be mostly impossible. I accept, Kominami, Furuhashi, Kirisu, Rizu, I just hope it doesn't have the same ending as the anime, anyone but Uruka, I don't know how to explain it, I feel they are trying to force it. Also imo, she is the only cliched character of the series, which is something I don't like. |

He most likely doesn't feel anything romantic for Fumino, yes. He is aware that she is attractive girl, but there are no implications it goes beyond that. There were few events that could lead to major development but those never had any follow up and got quickly forgotten by Yuiga. Uruka and Mafuyu ( mainly Uruka thought) are only one with consistent overarching progress. Given their past, it's not even wrong to say Uruka had unfair advantage from beginning and everyone else being passive didn't helped their chances either. |

So it end with Uruka I don't know is there a new rule that the author use It usually the blonde or first girl rule when come to mind about harem But i don't know it just me but there is a new rule or something and i think it is no longer first girl win but "who confess first win" It just my thought so feel free to correct me if u think i am wrong |

No. But one thing is certain that now it depends more on narrative than tropes these days. The first girl, blonde, rich, tsundere, holding pity cards and/or with parental/family issues can win if the narrative supports nowadays. The narrative can also make childhood friend, the girl with unrequited love for the longest, the girl to fall in love the last to win or even the girl the MC falls for or the most popular character by polls to win. But nowadays it usually comes down to the narrative. There is a balance now than it was in the past. One thing is for certain, Nariyuki picking Uruka will have a constant narrative supporting it. She is the girl who has helped Nariyuki the most and has the most influence in his life. Fumino's love advice pales in comparison for the girl who made him get over the death of his father and made him rethink of his future choice and deciding to become an educator just like his father. The latter is also tied to Mafuyu-sensei. Then of course the center of attention in the most important chapters of the manga has been Uruka no matter what anyone says. - The day of the first exam - Uruka (helping Nariyuki get to the exam hall) - The day of the second exam/interview - Uruka (speaking on behalf of herself and everyone else) - The Valentine's day - Uruka (the only meaningful chocolate) - The exams' results day - Uruka (her confession) - The graduation trip - Uruka (her arc) The narrative is hugely in favour of Uruka. Notice how Fumino and Rizu have been made into a pair. It all started with Rizu's arc. They text Nariyuki together. They make igloo together, etc. etc. If the anime ending becomes a spoiler, it still wouldn't change the fact that the heroine to win with the highest chance has been Uruka even before the episode aired. Then ofc the author can have no narrative to support it and give it on the plate of any girl of their choice if they want but that is the sign of a poor author. Like what happened in *GoToubun*. |

Post confession flash back: Uruka: I love you. I am head over heels for you, Nariyuki. This is not meant as a practice. And it's not a lie either I have been in love with you for the past 5 years ever since middle school Nariyuki (thinking): Why? Uruka said she had someone special, didn't she? Oh no, but that was all a lie, right? What? What is it? I don’t get it. Uruka: ...Maybe there will be only fewer and fewer opportunities from now on Nariyuki: ! Uruka: So I am really glad that I could tell you today You know what actually? I think I recognized that instructor there. I was once his local guide. Nariyuki: What...? Uruka: I am leaving Japan right after our graduation ceremony I have but a few days left Once I move, I will devote myself to swimming.... That’s why... That's why I am okay if you do not give me an answer So before we graduate, won’t you join me for a graduation trip at least? |

I don't know why but my head is all over the place when I notice her even in front of others Anyways, I wonder if I could hold it together when we will be alone.... Don't be surprised just like that––! Nariyuki: Wha-What? Is it Uruka-chan...? Uruka: Yes, I got out first ahead of others Hehe–– It was a good bath Nariyuki (thinking): Then... Right now... It's just the two of us...? Nariyuki: Tha- about that U-Uruka... Nariyuki (thinking): Uh-huh Say we should talk but what do we talk about Because she "confessed" to me, did I want to talk about "dating" or "not dating"...? She has kept me in her heart for 5 years Am I capable to respond to such feelings with enough sincerity...? For someone like me What does "her" existence mean to me...? Uruka: Um-if that... Nariyuki...? Nariyuki: Ug...ugh.... Uruka: What is it?! Nariyuki––?! What?! You have such a high fever!!! Someone! Anyone! Help––!!! |

@Tenzen12: What do you think about this part: "Am I capable to respond to such feelings with enough sincerity...? For someone like me what does "her" existence mean to me...?" It could still go either way, right? But I am more inclined towards him realizing that she is the one for him. It can easily be tied to "I believe each step that we take here has some meaning" from the Vol. 15 cover. But before that, all other prospective confessions must happen for him to realize Uruka is the person for him. Will he really be able to shrug off that innocent smile he wore every time he ate those poke choco? Heck, she may leave for Australia and he realizes long after she leaves. Like what happened in *KamiNomi*. |

I said so on animesuki didn't I? Yest it's more likely positive then not, though I wouldn't try tie it to that scene in particular. Well I certainly don't know how long it will take him decide, but I don't think it would be to late even if they hook through international call. |

I think uruka has a big chance than others since her story is well developed(biased). But still its "harem", the series probably will not end until all of them confess to nariyuki then he pick one like others harem series. N i dunno why but 'since the first time i see uruka i dont like her.' |

__hinaki said: I think uruka has a big chance than others since her story is well developed(biased). But still its "harem", the series probably will not end until all of them confess to nariyuki then he pick one like others harem series. N i dunno why but 'since the first time i see uruka i dont like her.' Not all harem required everyone confessing to the MC. Actually there is a very few where everyone confesses (and I cannot seem to remember which - yes, that few). But I am assuming at least two will confess. Fumino and Rizu. But I don't see why Nariyuki would be picking either of them over Uruka unless it's a complete cop out because of the anime adaptation. It's now clear that Tsutsui wants (or at least wanted) it to be Uruka. Not many events are left for the other heroines to leapfrog Uruka. Actually there are just four events left. The graduation trip, which is already an Uruka arc, then the White Day (March 14) before the graduation ceremony which also has Uruka written all over it because of her chocolates in the past six valentines and the fact that Nariyuki now knows that all of those chocolates were honmei, the basically the penultimate event before graduation, the graduation ceremony (the only event up for grabs) but then her flying to Australia immediately after that. Every other event is closed for other heroins to muster a confession. Fumino is now in good terms with her father and reached her desired university. Sensei has found her passion being a teacher and realized her way of being strict was wrong. Rizu understood her grandma figure and also got into her college of her choice and Senpai's came in terms with losing her father's clinic but becoming a physician to bring smile to her patients. This graduation trip should have been an open field for everyone but even this has been taken by Uruka with her confession, being okay without an answer, and by finally inviting Nariyuki to the trip. That's the author's choice, biased or not. This will need some crazy development for Nariyuki to not pick Uruka. I take the comments that Uruka is nowhere as popular as Fumino with a grain of salt. Because it was far from the case in Japan (until the anime adaptation happened). Uruka actually almost caught up with Fumino in the most recent official popularity poll in Japan even without much focus on her at that time. The anime did her dirty (and everyone else for the matter) in favour of Fumino to get her more fans. In the second official poll, Uruka's difference in vote counts came down to less than 280 votes (less than 1.2% of the total) down from over 640 votes in the first poll w.r.t. Fumino. The second poll was conducted after everyone's arc was over and while Sensei swept the floor with everyone else, Uruka took the least damage (she had the lowest drop with Fumino having the highest in vote counts which means a big chuck of Fumino fans abandoned her for Sensei). I can statistically show that. And neither Uruka had much focus before the second poll, nor she had an arc of her own to get her a few more votes. If there was no anime adaptation, Uruka would have overtaken Fumino's popularity in Japan given the recent chapters. Most of the anime onlies who will start reading the manga now will have a preset mind on Fumino as their preferred heroine because of the focus on her in the anime(biased). |

The Official translation sacrifices Sensei's charm of starting a sentence with a single sentence defining word. It also mellowed on Nariyuki's panicky take on the whole Uruka thing. @Kuma: I don't see it entering college arc. But it may stretch the final few days. My take is maximum 2 more volumes after the completed tankoubun (ch. 141). So we are in the final 15ish chapters. Take the 20 vol. tweet from Tsutsui with a grain of salt. Also, no chapter next week. So January will probably have 2 chapters after this. In worst case, just 1, which will further establish that it will end soon. Announcements are usually made before final volume or just with few chapters left (more often when it is 2-3 chapters). So, don't expect an announcement until we reach chapter 147/148. |

Riichiro said: I'm so excited for Uruka! It's been so great seeing her growth recently and I would love to see things work out for her. I have a feeling the ending might be kind of different for a harem/romcom series. I don't think there's going to be a confession from everyone ... like maybe one more and that's it. The Official translation changed quite a bit from original Japanese translation. If Nariyuki doesn't realize "what does "her" existence mean to him" by the end of the Uruka arc, she is going to win. If he DOES realize but doesn't turn her down (which is very likely because she didn't seek for an answer), then she is going to win. If he realizes AND turns her down because he says he doesn't understand romance then Uruka still retains the highest chance to win, not immediately but later AFTER he understands romance. Only losing combination is he realizes what her existence means to him but it turns out he LIKES someone else, which is very unlikely given how things are crumbling down for him just from his reaction and it gives the idea that he actually doesn't understand romance. I think at least two will confess - Fumino and Rizu. But neither have any reason to be above Uruka. Also, Tsutsui didn't mention the "ending" of the anime but the "development" of the way it ended and hinted that the manga will go different direction which is happening right now in this chapter that her going for college is expedited by several folds. It's not even several months, or even weeks. She has just a few days left. Also, there is another tweet that is grossly mistranslated thanks to Tweeter's in built crap translation. It's not set for 20 volumes. It could end much sooner because there is nothing much left. Usually weekly manga start taking breaks when they come closer to a closure. There will be no chapter next week (another hint). This volume has 8 chapters left. I cannot see the manga stretching beyond volume 18 (because the manga will not likely to enter college arc), which means we probably have 17 chapters left after this at best. Fans in other places are also questioning why there hasn't been any announcement for ending. Well, duh? Usually the announcement for weekly manga happens 2-3 chapters from the end (with very few exceptions). Of course there will be no announcement before chapter 147/148 if this becomes the last volume (i.e 17) or ch. 150 (if the volume after this, i.e. Vol. 18 becomes the last volume - starting with ch. 151). |

I think Nariuki will loss his opportunity or Uruka dont ganna let him respond, after the other girls are gonna confess their feelings too and Nariyuki will give them an answer only for choose Uuruka at the last. |

But neither have any reason to be above Uruka Yeah, I believe Uruka’s chances are very very high. I'd be kind of shocked if it wasn't her at this point. With Nariyuki apparently getting sick this chapter, it be kind of nice if we saw Uruka looking after him while he was thinking about what she means to him. I don’t think he’ll give her a response before she leaves though. Then someone else will confess before graduation. My bets are on Fumino. The side note of raw gives a potential hint that he might go to Fumino for advise? But it could just be a misdirection and I am reading too much into it. The official release leaves out post chapter comments. For instance, next chapter will get a center colour page. miguelrexd said: I think Nariuki will loss his opportunity or Uruka dont ganna let him respond, after the other girls are gonna confess their feelings too and Nariyuki will give them an answer only for choose Uuruka at the last. That's the most likely outcome. Her arc cannot be an arc of rejection. It just doesn't seem right when you consider everyone else remained active in the race for being the end girl (irrespective of their actual chance) after their arcs. For Uruka to be the only one getting a rejection in her arc? Nope. |

Uruka was my girl first half of the series and then came Fumino, which I think really matches well with Nariyuki, but with a simple eye test and track records Uruka wins this by a mile, too much material and effort written for her, that's why endgame with Uruka is always welcome, unlike 5-toucrack where a sporty girl with zero material, development and panels won against Miku with a fuckload of material and character dev. Uruka at least had lots of moments to justify under her belt, she worked her ass off. Anyways, it's Uruka, Fumino distaaant second and Sensei is mine. End of |
