I know you like the animation for Maou-sama Retry, but I 100% sure that you haven't even read the manga yet, so of course you don't know anything about it's ascetic. They basically downgraded a good series, by adding more forehead and etc. I actually have read the manga, and while i do agree the art has been downgraded, the same could be said for series like one punch man, fact is i'm surprised this series even got greenlit for a anime adaptation. Perhaps it's because i'm more willing to accept that nothing will ever be perfectly done, but the anime to me, did what it needed to do and that's all. If you want my opinion, i think the one who was the biggest hit by the art style was in fact angel white, who looks more like a older version of luna in the anime, where in the manga she looked fairly different, aku is different too but her appearance in the manga made her look more androgynous so i am not surprised they changed that. Fact is for a studio's first project i think they did a good job, hopefully they improve but not bad for a first outing. |

| Not so much screentime for the Demon Lord in this episode, regardless of that, the episode was pretty good. The scene of the clown losing his arms was a funny one, I am glad that the classic humor of this series returned. |

| Action wasn’t as bad as it usually is this episode, but it was still quite bad lol, even when they did show impacts it was unsatisfying. It’s also possible it’s as bad as it’s always been, but I was just distracted by the two best girls Mink and Killer Queen doing their thing lol, I appreciate the effort to give Mink boob jiggle animation too but it did look a little odd at times. But besides the action being whatever as usual, there were some good bits here like the return of Zero giving us some great Killer Queen reactions, Zero himself is also pretty fun. And I completely forgot the clown scene was a thing, that was goofy af lol, I guess Kunai’s gang is safe from assassins if Yu is in the vicinity. And yeah the “prince of darkness” was pretty underwhelming, he was pretty strong when facing the babes but of course he was nothing against Zero, his transformation was lame too, but I guess I did enjoy the beatdown he received, get this dude out of here lol. But now this city under attack arc is over, I can’t remember if there’s anymore action heavy arcs in the show but I do remember a lot of it is spent at the village in this 2nd half so we’ll see about that. Also Tron is here now, I forgot that was her name lol, but she’s cute |
