THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
If I dare say, this was a really sad and touching episode. ^^;

In a risky job such as this, you should be prepared to know that you can't save everyone's lives, and this was a great example of what happens when things don't go the way you want it.

Damnit! Don't die without my permission!

I think the hard part is that he had to watch her die slowly without being able to do anything. That is the painful part to accept for anyone....
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

On MAL, everyone who has used the lame rating system becomes a critic and an intellectual by default, haven't you heard?

Why didn't they try to find something large enough and flat enough to carry her? Running around with her on his back was a good way to increase her injuries and kill her :/
Though I suppose it didn't really matter in the end.

He shouldn't have stayed at the hospital. I understand why he did, but if he really felt so bad about not being able to save her, then he should have just gone back out and saved ten more people to try to make up for it and apologized to the family after everyone who could be saved was.

Were I the judge, I think I'd throw out the assault case and try to find something to charge the salesman with. Though I suppose extreme insensitivity isn't actually a crime :/

I fell in love with the ED song now. It fit the anime mood so much.

I was shocked and dismayed about the mortuary guy showing up at the hospital. Do they really have THAT much gall in Japan?

Well that was a downright sad ending. I get they needed the main character to realize the seriousness and the reality the job entails but did they have to kill a 7 year old girl to do that? Man that was down right depressing.

On another note the parents should have just let the dog come along, the dog wasn't trapped and the school was barely a mile away from their house.

It makes perfect sense to give a piggyback ride to a girl who was found crushed under debris.

it's kinda like the lawyers known as ambulance chasers in the US. hanging around ED to see if they can talk someone into hiring them for a lawsuit

on another note, it kind of irked me that in such a situation the parents did not notice the child was missing until it was to late
