What a special. We got to see a new, jealous side of Tendou Maya and her whole dialogue with Hikari was honestly great. Junna's comedic reactions worked as a reminder that the whole scene should be taken light-heartedly, not as some sort of a big conflict. Poor Junna never got a lead role before, but I'm sure she'll get one eventually. Hard work pays off.

I think this special perfectly showcases what specials should be about. It develops characters and shows new sides of their personalities, and takes it all in a pleasant comedic manner. Loved it.

Higurashi Gou is the worst anime in existence.

Ahh that was excellent, why can't more specials be like this instead of weird chibi shorts that aren't funny.

Feels a bit out of character for Maya since at episode 10 of the main anime she didn't feel that salty after being defeated, heck she even took that L with pride. Not saying this jealousy thingy is bad, it shows her cute side which expands her character a bit, plus Maya is still a girl at that age, remaining composed forever is impossible given her prideful trait.

What I really enjoyed is how Maya expressed her sort of obsession over the Claire role, and how she openly challenged Kagari in a very cute way and ended with her catchphrase "this is Tendou Maya".

I rated this Special a 5/5 just because of the amount of focus Maya received. I mean, I think I had never seen her so amazed, jealous and "out of character" before. Which is not a bad thing since this gives her character more depth. Not to mention that since her character was really interesting to me in the main series, I'm glad this Special was focused on her.

Besides, the talk with Hikari was really nice and seeing more of Junna is always welcome too. And as someone said, I hope she gets a lead role at some point in the future, based on her efforts, she clearly deserves it.

Overall, it was a great Special.

Hoping to see Claudine in the last one.
