| I guess the readership, just like the author, should not bother with futile "why" every time a big information is revealed / implemented without making real sense. 3/5 After all, that's not why people were following this series. And it makes it perfectly B movie-like like its first part. |

| Joseph might've been ecstatic about finally escaping the Hell Pillar but that doesn't mean that he'll let go of the fact that Lisa Lisa threw him in there and left him for 3 days that easy, well, right until she threw a cup of water at his direction. His grudge didn't last long because he found out that his struggles wasn't all for naught after all. Just when they thought that holding a glass upside without spilling anything is impressive enough, Loggins and Messina came in and removed the glass to introduce them to stage two. Joseph received so many scars during his grueling training just like his grandfather and that shows how much effort he'd put into training. The three most powerful beings on the earth are looking for the Red Stone of Aja and Lisa Lisa just straight up wears it on her days out in public without a worry. It was a nice opportunity for Joseph to demonstrate what's he's learned though! |

| Joseph mentioned that it wasn’t the rings that were on his mind during the Hell Climb, rather it was the revenge he would get on Lisa Lisa when he got out. The funny thing about that is how true it is, his life being on the line alone wasn’t enough to inspire him, it was only when he got pissed off at Lisa Lisa that he gave it his all. His laziness when uninspired makes me question how he got so muscular, I don’t see him as the type to habitually work out and I don’t think he was this buff at 13. I guess it’s just in the Joestar bloodline. Regardless, the striking thing was that upon seeing his improvement, Joseph started to respect Lisa Lisa, calling her master and bowing, she has tamed him! It goes along with the fact that although he can be stubborn he’s able to see when people are looking out for him, and even if he doesn’t like worrying about the rings, he obviously doesn’t want to die either. A brief thing I wanted to mention that I don’t think I have is how Caesar warming up to Joseph is much like Will warmed up to Speedwagon. Will and Jonathan respected each other immediately in part 1, however, Will did show a bit of a snobby side when it came to Speedwagon. He presumed he was the type to run away in the face of danger and it created some awesome moments of him being rude to Speedwagon and telling him to shut up. But, when Will saw Speedwagon stayed in the bloody combat of Dio, Tarkus and Bruford and put himself on the line to help him, he saw Speedwagon had courage and strength and came around to him. It’s much like how Caesar thought Joseph was a half-assed simpleton until he saw his determined demeanor in the face of danger, I take it pride is in the Zeppeli bloodline. They don’t like to give the time of day to people they don’t see strength in. Joseph now inspired to train, all he needed to see was the progress he was making, learned from Loggins and Messina. They certainly aren’t as professional as the Tonpeti school of ripple as they immediately did what Joseph did to Donovan with the cactus, just with the water-finger popsicle before howling into laughter. A montage went by and Joseph learned incredible breath control, swimming and doing the stereotypical upside down finger-stand training. He’s still wearing the mask but he came to Lisa Lisa’s aid, not because she needed it but more so because she was above dealing with that thug, and he was covered in scars like Jonathan was when he finished his first training with Will! After the hilarious mustard finish we had it revealed that Lisa Lisa is the guardian of the red stone of Aja. I wonder if it’s been passed down to her. It gives her a good reason to want to take down the Pillar Men at the least. |
| I don't remember the pickpocket in the anime, maybe it was cut. Lisa Lisa is with the Red Stone and Joseph' and Caesar's training is going smoothly. |
