I watched the 1st ep. of an anime and just left but I don't think I had added it into my list. I can't find it now and I really need your help.

It is a school anime. At lease in the 1st ep.
In the start of the ep., it introduced the male protagonist, he just moved to a new place and he has no friends, and he talks with an imaginary friend (talking to air as if there's a person right in front of him).
Some stuff happened (I can't remember, maybe the lessons has ended but he left something and needed to get it? not toradora btw) and he accidentally saw a female talking to a imaginary friend too.
The male entered the room or sth and started to have a conversation with the female. And they asked for each others name.
After they answered each other, the male asked if she has a nickname and she answered,
"I will not tell you. Nicknames are for friends only."
Plz help me, that's all I can remember, I will be grateful.

So I've been thinking about this anime I was watching but never got a chance to finish and I've been wanting to go back and finish it but I can't remember the name. The good news is that I've seen that scene, so the anime is somewhere on my completed list.
The bad is that I can't recall the name for it. I thought it might be All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, but it doesn't seem so.
