Some anime this season that beat DxD is: Galactic hero ( New adaption of the novel), Umamusume ( With Cygame good in side that can be redeem for ingame item and have a tier reward tie in by cygame), P5 (...).

BTW VOL 4 already got in to rank 100 by the time i write this.

It would likely fall a lot when it come to sale ranking, simply because it'd have to content with massively more mainstream series that's been on sale for ages. 1st season, for all it being successful enough to warrant New, was only 2600-5100th rank.
Though I'm surprised that someone had a bad enough hate boner to claim doom for a series that hadn't even finished and yet already have 2 DVD volume in top 100 pre-order.

Makoto Uno worked on several action flick like Gravion and Witchblade already. DxD Hero is the first time I see people suggesting his design is too moe for action.

This show how hero made the scenes look more moe , soft and less emotional compare to born that made the series look more serious, badass and made the character look more alive. Like issei didnt look broken or all that angry in hero, while born He look lost, and when came to gripe on what was going on, he went full on Im gonna rip out your throat mode.

There's been like ONE pantyshot in all the four episodes out so far and it wasn't even that great. The boobs still look fine but Rias doesn't look anywhere near as dominant or sexy.
