hey, i have no idea if it has already been suggested but...

when you're commenting on the episode forum for example and you accidentally change pages and "oops let me go back to the forum page..." the comment is still there ... and that's awesome

but... when we are commenting on someone else's profile and we accidentally change pages, the message disappears...and that's not cool ... just today i lost like 20 lines worth of text that was almost ready to send and had to retype it again, probably forgetting a lot of stuff too.

so...what i want to know is if it's possible to keep the comment from disappearing in every place of MAL and not just on forum discussions

edit: i guess one of those "are you sure you want to leave the page without saving? you will lose your work" that we sometimes see when we close an application (word, paint...) could work fine too.

Yes this function would be cool. MAL provides a reliable forum chat spaces so I guess this option will only make MAL a better place to be.

+1, there's been a time where I lost a fuck ton of lines because I accidentally changed the page

I don't remember if I was almost ready to send it, but I've had that happen. Having to re-type any line of text is annoying because you don't always remember how you phrased it the first time, and you forget stuff when it was multiple lines I also accidentally closed the tab before when I was typing a review. I didn't have too much written, but I hated having to retype it. They should have a way for the text to be saved, maybe like a draft format, like emails services have.

I would support this. I use MAL mainly on mobile, and my phone's cellular data often dies when I'm sending text walls to my friends, causing them to disappear. Affects me less now since I built the habit of copy-pasting my responses after every several sentences, but it would be far more efficient if OP's suggestion comes to fruition.

Sure why not. Also another thing that is simple to code. Just let the browser cache it.

some very cool suggestions by the OP, he sure knows what he is talking about and shows off how intelligent he is, cant believe no one else suggested this in how many years of mal's existence?
Looking at his favorites, damn, i knew it, zero two, no doubt he is so smart.
But i really support it too, happened to me as well :(
