| Sure, there are lots of games that are overrated (coughskyrimcough), but what games do you feel are overhated? For me, my first thought would be Final Fantasy 13. Sure, it was a pretty huge deviation from previous Final Fantasies, but if you take it for what it is, it was my favorite FF honestly. And I've finished every mainline FF game (some multiple times) except for 11, 14, and 15, and played plenty of side games as well. 13 was honestly the first FF game I played where I felt like I actually liked every main character, and enjoyed the plotline of the entire saga (13-2 and Lightning Returns were also favorites of mine), liked the battle system, liked the progression system, liked the art style and graphics, AND liked the soundtrack. I understand where the hate for it comes from, it's linear (which I don't mind but it's bit more linear than most FF games), Hope and Lightning can seem pretty edgy at first, there's not a whole lot of NPC interaction or towns to visit, etc, but none of those things really felt like dealbreakers to me. |

| I think Tetris gets more hate than it should from gamers. When I say I think Tetris is the best game ever made, they get really mad that I am challenging Zelda for the title. But Tetris really is one of the best games ever created and it is the #1 best selling game of all time. Clearly people love it or have loved it in the past. But when I talk about my favorite game, Katamari Damacy, somehow that is ok? Eh... Guess people feel threatened by Tetris though. Also if I mention that Puyo Puyo Tetris is a great game, people call me a casual.... >.> And I am just like... "Did you even beat Tetris on Gameboy? Cause I did." As much as Tetris is a simple game, it is hard to master. It is endlessly replayable. The posturing against "casuals" really needs to stop. |

| Lord of the Fallen, this game gets too much hate in the souls community, despite that I enjoyed it very much. I completed it 3 times earning all the achievements along the way. I also agree with you on FF13, certainly underrated. It wasn't the best but it was good enough. Mass effect Andromeda was also pretty good despite its flaw. Gameplay was the best out of all four, sure the story may be disappointing among other things but I had a great time nevertheless. Another one is Kane and Lynch 1 and 2. Both are good in my opinion though I get where people were coming from when they said the games suck. Here's hoping IO Interactive release a sequel but that might be a bit of a stretch. |

| Soul Calibur 3 i think, since most people would brush aside SCIII and pick SCII while saying SCIII is crap. Honestly, i really liked SCIII due to it's improved gameplay and graphic, though the save data corrupt is a problem and one of the reason why the game was overhated. Also, there's Suikoden IV since it deviated so much from the core gameplay and being very fast compared to the rest of the Suikoden. Well, the reason why people hated the game must've stemmed from the fact that Suikoden IV is one of the reason why the sales of Suikoden are dramatically dropping. To be honest, Suikoden IV is fun to play and the voice acting was intriguing to hear. |

| I'm with you OP on FFXIII, that easily takes the cake. The original wasn't anything special, but the second game was a nice improvement, and Lightning Returns had one of the best battle systems in the series. I'd go so far to say that the entire trilogy was better than FFXV, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Resident Evil 5 & 6 also count for me. They're actually fun multiplayer shooters despite not being true horror games. |

| I don't feel like FF13 is hated enough, actually. I see way more people saying "give it a break" than bashing on it. I'm not really aware of what people think about games other than that. Maybe World of Warcraft? It set a massive trend for MMOs, and maybe it destroyed the previous meta of aimless adventure MMORPGs, but a lot of people fell in love with it. I don't think it deserves as much hate as it gets, at least, not for what it is. I still wont forgive it for what it did to the Warcraft franchise, but hey, looking at Activision-Blizzard's track record, maybe it's better they turned Warcraft into a theme park. |

| I think Call of Duty ww2 is overhated , I know there are alot of people hating because of future past games or being a battlefield lovers , but without these reasons I think this game don't deserve for any hate , It is nice with nice (typical american ) story , nice multiplayer ,good maps , really good soundtracks. And there is no pay-to-win , yes you can buy these supplies etc. but the items you are getting from it won't make you stronger or anything like in Counter Strike . |

| For me it would be Dragon Age 2, I had similar disappointments the first time I played it, but I feel that I love it more and more every time I play it due to the more personal story and how the MC has more personality then the Warden or Inquisitor combined (at least humourous Hawke). | new danganronpa v3: i won't spoil anything, but the ending is VERY divisive among fans. personally, i absolutely loved it, and i saw it as the perfect end to the core games series, but a lot of people let it taint their opinions on the whole series. not to be "that guy," because everyone's entitled to their opinions, but i feel like if some of them thought about it more they wouldn't hate it as much, lol. undertale also gets a lot of hate, but mostly because of its cringey fandom. i think it's pretty good!! |
